My husband and I, with our dog, were heading back to NOVA from Richmond when my husband found Coffee Common Grounds while... searching for somewhere that had breakfast sandwiches and was close(ish) to the highway. We walked around outside with our dogwhile waiting for our food and smoothie. My husband got the ham, egg and cheese croissant and a blueberry muffin and I got theegg and cheese croissant. The muffin was tasty. I couldn\'t eat much more than a small taste because it had cinnamon in it butmy husband enjoyed it. Both sandwiches were pretty good. The croissant tasted fresh and was very light and buttery. The egg wasfluffy and topped with a slice of cheddar. My husband was kind of bummed that his sandwich only had one slice of ham on it,especially since it wasn\'t a thick slice. I was very tempted to order a coffee of some sort but already had my share ofcaffeine that morning so instead I ordered a peach creme smoothie and it was absolutely delicious, like a peach milkshake. Thestaff was very friendly and even came out to give our dog a little pup cup, which she enjoyed greatly (we could tell by all thedrools), and some head pets. It was such a sweet encounter. Today was my first time stopping in. Glad to have a nice coffee shop so close to the house now. The service was amazing. Polite... and professional staff and the inside is super clean. Food and drinks were prepared in a timely manner. Will definitely be backvery soon! Read more

I absolutely love having a coffee shop in Ladysmith! The baristas are very friendly! Bekah, one of the baristas, makes the best... coffee! I love their Java frappe and their lattes. If you don?t know what you?re looking for, just ask! I have had multipledrinks that were made especially for my preferences. Their sandwiches are also very good! Such a nice coffee shop and staff! Perfect location off I95 for travelers. Plenty of different syrup options and non-dairy milk... options. Food and pastries were great as well! Would definitely recommend stopping at Common Grounds over a typical Starbucks orDunkin. Read more
