Brought my friend there for her birthday this weekend and we had an amazing time! Our waiter Adrian was super friendly and... really went out of his way to make the night special for her. The food was delicious as always and Chef Peter really outdidhimself as usual! Can’t wait to go back there in the fall and try the new seasonal menu! Read more

Cafe Matisse is always a pleasure to go to. The outdoor area is idyllic and magical, the inside is just as lovely. The food is... absolutely fantastic. I was a terrible and busy wife and didn’t make plans for my husband’s birthday and sheepishly calledCafe Matisse asking for a reservation that night, they accommodated and we had an amazing meal. It’s BYOB, but there’s agreat wine store across the street that has a lovely selection. Cafe Matisse makes a memorable dinner, chef’s kiss! Read more

Everything was delicious. The Service was super friendly, the place is just beautiful. It makes you feel as if you were in a... different world. Very romantic. The music was perfect and it set the mood for the restaurant and the evening. The food wasdelicious for sure. We had the four course meal and it was more than enough. We celebrated our anniversary here and we willcertainly come back again. Note to the everyone out there taking their loved ones to this restaurant; make sure you REMEMBER totake a bottle of WINE. The place is BYOB and of course! I forgot and had to run to buy one ???????? Read more

Lovely atmosphere, tasty food- terrible experience. We had a reservation last night for 7:30, and were not seated until 7:50.... Annoying, but the garden was so beautiful I didn’t mind that we had had to wait. But it quickly became apparent why they werelate: they offer a four-course tasting menu, and we waited 30 minutes between each course- as did all the other tables! That’sa LONG time to sit without any food on the table. And it was not a waitstaff issue, as there were servers just standing aroundwaiting while we also waited for our food. We had the first 2 courses but when at 9:45 we still hadn’t had our entrees, weasked them to package them to go. The food was definitely delicious, but at $120 per head I expect better service. Also, as avegetarian I had two small salads, a pasta dish, and a brownie- again, delicious, but the cost seemed a little steep even byfine dining standards. My husband had the shrimp, scallops, and a beef dish so the cost seemed right for that. Maybe it was justan off night and the kitchen was short staffed? But unfortunately I think we will go elsewhere next time. Read more

It’s been a while since we visited this restaurant. It has returned to the excellence that attracted us here in the first... place. The menu changed and there are fewer options. No matter, everything we had was superb. Some of the best dishes were thewhite sesame cubed sushi tuna, smoked duck breast carpaccio, short ribs & burrata cheese, and the fresh strawberries withcaramelized banana. But in reality, everything we ordered was terrific. Not inexpensive but a romantic restaurant to celebrate aspecial occasion. Read more
