Went for Lunch with the Dog in tow. Ate outside at picnic tables after ordering from the take out window. Had a 1lb hard shell... and twin 1lb soft shell Lobsters with fixings. The service was good, the atmosphere great and best of all the Lobsters weresuperb. They have a huge menu. Will have to come back to check it out. Great spot if you have dogs and want a great meal. Came here for the first time today. Great place! We picked the right time to eat. Sat right down on a Saturday night. I ordered... the fried combo with baby shrimp and haddock. Food so good we came here twice during our vacation. We had some steamed clams, which were incredibly sweet and juicy. I would... have had the basket all to myself if I didn?t have to share them with my family. The clam chowder was delicious. The boiledlobsters were very tasty. I would recommend eating at Petey's if you're in the area. We both got the lobster which was a fun experience, albeit expensive.... The atmosphere is typical seaside restaurant affair and the staff is really friendly. Most of the menu is reasonably priced, butthe lobster is obviously going to be pretty steep. If you've never eaten lobster before, they have great placemats withinstructions. This was quite helpful for us novices. Read more
Petey's on the ocean boulevard is a place for locals. We had the luck to find one last seat. The seafood place that is open when... ever you need it. They don't do a winter break - we were eating some delicious lobster roll and various seafood dishes inFebruary. There is a parking lot with enough space. Service staff is humble and very human. Quick seating, comfortable booths. Great drinks menu. The food was bar none some of the best if not the best seafood I've ever... had when considering the portion sizes, the dipping sauce selection, the crispiness of the fried batter. Presentation of thesteamed/broiled foods in the paper containers leaves something to be desired but all-in-all I would definitely revisit in thefuture. Just happened upon this place because BG's was closed for the season. Good thing. what was ordered: 1. fried calamari -it didn't need the sauce at all. Soft, not rubbery, flavorful and cooked well. 2. Sweet potato fries - huge portion. greattexture 3. Coconut shrimp - talk about jumbo shrimp! the mango chutney sauce that came with it was the cherry on top. I shouldhave ordered a second helping for the road 4. Broiled haddock & sea scallops with rice pilaf - my order came out wrong but themanager was quick to correct it 5. I met a friend here for lunch. He had the fried lobster ???? tail as an appetizer and fried egg scallops and shrimp. I had a... grilled jerk chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich ???? hit the spot! My friend, he couldn't finish his lunch! Seafood isexpensive so price to portion is hard to determine. I thought my sandwich was reasonably priced. Drinks are expensive! $12 fortwo ???? beers! $3.50 for a cup of unsweetened iced tea! Ouch! Indoor and outdoor seasonal seating. Friendly service.
