Excellent service. The pasta was too al dente (in 2 types of pasta dishes) but the sauce was very good. Pizza was good too.

We have been here 4 times now. The first visit was pizza and drinks which were great. The 2nd visit they had to comp our entire... meal for 10 because it took over an hour to get our entrees. Other groups came in after us, got their meal and left. The serverand manager came and said our meal would be out soon-and it still took 30 minutes more. But the food was very good. The 3rdvisit, our pizza, the only item we ordered took 45 minutes in a half empty restaurant. We had to get it boxed to go or we wouldhave been late to a concert. Last night, the food was poor. The Caesar was iceberg instead of romaine and the dressing wastasteless. The carrots were roasted well but were covered in a walnut crema we thought was again lacking in taste and there wastoo much of it which overpowered the carrots. The chicken cutlet was good. We came here on back-to-back weekends after finding this spot on a whim. Service is great and hasn’t been overly crowded to... deter us from coming. Food got to us on time and most importantly, tasted great. Mitch was really nice and accommodating -we’ll absolutely be throwing Fortina in the rotation! Read more

After waiting an extended time with the server telling us the food was coming we were later told our ticket was lost. Not sure... how that happened since we received some of our dinner items. Manager came over to comp the 2 remaining items but then had towait again for the items to be bagged. Service was disjointed, there was no following up on anything. Food was. Not worth theinconvenience of bad service. I am from out of town and dine here several times but it will be difficult to convince folks todine here again. Read more

Yesterday was my first, but certainly not my last, visit to this restaurant. For years Patsy's on 1st Ave between 117th and... 118th Steet in Manhattan was top on my list. However, they now are placed 2nd since my visit to Fortina's. I want to thank allfor a very personal experience. The staff were very professional and obviously enjoyed working there. The dining area was hugeand the cleanliness was exceptional. But the taste of the fresh pizza EXCEEDED my expectations. I look forward to future visitshere. The food was very good. But the waiter had a very unwelcoming attitude. I asked for a towel to wipe off a big puddle on the... table. He told me I should have waited to be seated so he could have given me a clean table. But there was no one at the doorwhen we came in. No podium, no sign. And the place was pretty much empty. He told me that you should ask to be seated at anyrestaurant. He wiped off the table, but there was still a sticky spot. While I was at the restroom, my friend asked him to cleanit and he gave him the same attitude . He showed impatience while we were ordering and brought our food at all different times. It was so bizarre. There were only about 5 tables of customers in this barn of a place. I won't be back. After recently seeing Chef Petroni on DDD, we stopped in for Friday lunch on our way up to CT. Wasn't busy yet soon after... opening, although the shopping center was pretty busy. From a COVID standpoint, seems like everyone was following guidelines. Most people in the shopping center were wearing masks properly, even outside of the stores in the parking lot. Everyone inFortina we saw were as well. One-way directional flow signs inside. Tables were properly distanced. We grabbed a tableoutside, since it was a nice morning with great weather. Building threw shade on the outdoor tables. Menu is online via Toast. They provide a QR code to get to the menu, and you have to order and pre-pay through the app. It was early in the day, so therewere a few menu items that were unavailable, like the half chicken and pork braciole. We'll have to come back and try thebraciole someday, cuz it sounded delicious! We ordered the calamari to start, which comes with an interesting story. When theorder first came, we dug in. It was delicious and perfectly cooked as it was super tender and lightly breaded. Halfway throughour digging in, the server came over to apologize, that two executive chefs in the indoor dining space didn't like how our ordersmelled and wanted the kitchen to make us a fresh batch. We didn't spot anything wrong, but we appreciate how they're carefuland take pride in their product!! A new order was delivered a few minutes later, and it was delicious too! They even took itoff of our check, even though we thought it was great! We couldn't decide on a pizza, but our server recommended The LB so wewent with that. So happy on the recommendation! It was delicious, the crust was thin and crispy, and the burrata and robiolacheese was pillowy. Will definitely come back for this pizza! Read more

Who would ever expect such insane killer tastes in a restaurant in a suburban shopping center? Open decorated warehouse vibe. ... Long bar. View of the parking lot. Tastes that rival nearby NYC at a fraction of the price. Read more
