Veggie quality has really gone downhill. How long does it take someone to do something about rotting food? Also, seeing moldy... veggies doesn't inspire people to buy it. There have been numerous occasions seeing squished container jugs, and i do wonder whyits even placed out. These pictures were taken in: July 30, Sept 4 2022. It's a good grocery store. The staff are helpful and polite, and the store is well stocked.

I have to preface my review with a statement. I am relatively new to this area and I am felling the change coming from a larger... Safeway on the Lower Mainland to this smaller community Thrifty's on Vancouver Island. So to begin with I already miss my largerSafeway. I understand that they sell the same products, for the most part, but I knew the layout and liked it. I just find thatthis little Thrifty's doesn't have a very large selection of items, which continually frustrates me. I also find it a littleexpensive, but some of that is just being on the Island. Staff are polite, you can get in and out fairly quickly, the store isclean and the produce fresh. So there are plenty of pluses, just I struggle with the lack of selection. Still open for late evening shopping when we entered store after 8 pm. Counted less than 5 customer inside store. Bought the ... ripe juicy red cherries, $3.99/lb. It was so good that following day we returned to get another 2 lbs. Read more
veerrrrrryy expensive groceries, just like save on or whole foods. this is probably bec i saw loads of vegan friendly options... and organic. good quality so $$$$$ we would buy the local produce again if it was labeled a bit bigger so we don't have torummage through the usual aisle sections. so far there are room for improvement still. they have the usual basked goods, meat,dairy, snacks, liquids, kitchen/laundry items, pet products, reading materials, etc but not much electronics and no pharmacy.
