I ordered a Blueberry muffin and a strawberry turnover, and an ice coffee. The food was so dry and over cooked and bitter it was... honestly disgusting and I couldn't even eat it. ???? The iced coffee wasn't good either. The older lady working was not friendlyat all. The ac was broken and it was 90 degrees out so it was hotter than an oven inside. Bought this strawberry and cream cake for my wife?s birthday. Visually the cake looked great. Unfortunately, the cake itself was... overcooked and very dry! Disappointing considering all the good reviews. Read more
Really delicious. I had the pork hand pie and a raspberry Danish. Hubby had an everything bagel and a cinnamon bun. The hand... pie was perfectly soft and crumbly. The one thought I had was if it came with a spiced Apple chutney to smear on it I think Iwould have dreamt about it for weeks. The Danish was the perfect pastry and just the right balance of tart and sweet, creamy andcrispy. The bagel was full of flavor on it's own and super light and airy inside. The smoked salmon cream cheese was gorgeousand the cinnamon bun also delicious. Everything was served on cute mismatched antique China plates and the decor was warm andcozy. The place is out of the way on a side street in what looks like a three story white house. Be sure to look and not missit. It's well worth hunting for. Excellent all around. Focus is on the patisserie with in house made everything. Limited but sufficient coffee menu. Just try... everything. Bagels are fabulous. Highly reccomended. They only make bread on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and will sell outby noon! Highly reccomended! Read more
When traveling, my family loves to find the small, local bakeries. From Old Orchard Beach pier, it was sooo worth the 15 minutes... drive and small business pricing. Some may complain, but the skill behind these pastries are worth every penny! My dad and Iagree that we don't think we've had a better danish anywhere. Perfectly flaky, crispy but soft, amazing fruit and flavor--I'mobsessed! I didn't try it, but my dad groaned from the deliciousness of the Cinnamon bun, so I take that as another complimenttowards their pastry making. Oh and mom loves the blueberry muffin! Hopefully swinging back through tomorrow on our way out oftown :) Read more
