My first visit to this location. Such friendly staff for such a humid day! I was in a mood for the chain's spinach mushroom... omelet. I recall it being less expensive, but still; 13.99 for a massive, loaded omelet AND the side of hash browns was all Ineeded for the day! I am hot blooded; I also have heat intolerance. I am certain that I'm the only one who found the place"warm" for having a/c. That said, the wall of heat that hits you when you leave reminds you that it was on. Read more
It was very close to the Motel, so that was a plus. Most of the staff are not all that friendly. Matter-of-fact the 1st day we... went, the waitress we had never even asked if we were all set until about 10 minutes after we received the bill from her, but wedidn't leave right off. We were still eating & enjoying coffee. The 2nd day we had a much nicer waitress and SHE was good!! Nextyear, we are in hopes to stay in South Portland like previous years and go back to that IHop--- they've been great, only 1waitress 1 year (out of MANY) that was not so good... but great ALL other things we were there!! Breakfast was cooked to order for all 6 of us, my country fried steak and eggs was great, it came out quickly and was very good.... Our waitress (Betsy) was very nice and a pro at her job. I'd go back for sure???? Read more
Really poor service, I waitress myself so I know the struggle & 9/10 it comes from the kitchen. I never leave negative reviews.... But this poor service has happened the last 3 times I've got food. Last night we decided to dine in. I had to seat my family,listening to other families complain and watch 4 tables 5 mins apart from one another go with out drinks and service. I had toask for my bill. Only one server. Not really her fault but at the same time things could've gone smoothly with the wait. Food isalways messed up with things missing of plates. We had breakfast at this IHOP on a Saturday (yesterday) morning. We were placed in a small booth in the corner. But they were... getting very busy and we were just two, so it wasn't a problem. Our sever was very nice and attendtive. The food was good at areasonable price. The restaurant seemed clean everywhere we went. All in all, a decent meal at a fair price. Read more

Great place in most cases, I love most ihops but this one really did not impress me. Took about 10-15 min to take our order then... waiting close to an hour waiting for our food to arrive and then eventually we just left because we didnt want to wait anylonger. Didn't make any sense to keep sitting customers when people wasn't getting any food that was already sitting. Verydisappointing at this ihop. Read more
About 20 minute wait to be seated, fine. Then it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks/put orders in. Probably about 40... minutes to get our food. I'm more unhappy because my one year old waited so long to get the food. Food was decent. Onlycomplaint about my food was that I ordered the spicy poblano pepper omelet, they clearly must have forgot to precut up thepepper and put it in the omelet, because when I received my plate, there was just a whole pepper thrown next to the omelet notcooked. The omelet was not spicy. I've had great experiences at other IHOP locations, just not this one. Read more
