I have been to this location several times. Service is normally good but when they get busy staff seems to get overwhelmed and a... bit disorganized. The pizza is decent but not my favorite, some of the toppings they offer are different and quite good ifyou're looking for a change. I thought the prices were fine. They focus on craft beers (which I don't generally care for) butthey do have some selections I like in bottle or can. I'm sure I will be visiting again as it is very close to where I live andwork. I've only done delivery but have been impressed every time. The pizzas are unique and I appreciate their out-of-the-box... combinations. Always great when I want a little something extra out of pizza night. Read more
I'm not that big of a flatbread fan, so ymmv as that seems to be what kind of pizza is here. They seem to seat people without... regard to how much service staff they (don't) have. Expect to wait. The Good: Was seated relatively quickly. Food came outquite fast after order was taken. Okay beer selection. Vegan options! The Meh: Not really a flatbread pizza fan but I've hadbetter either way. Not bad. Very odd choice in red sauce distribution (see pic) as it is very uneven which makes some bites okayand some not. The Bad: The staff is nice but severely understaffed. Once my food came out I didn't see anyone for upwards of ahalf hour. Some of that time is sitting with an empty beer glass and an empty water glass. Stopped here after a day of sightseeing. We were seated promptly and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We ordered an... appetizer first and it came out very fast. Our pizzas came out and the waiter immediately said one was wrong and they werecooking a new one and asked our son-n-law if he would like to start with the wrong one. He accepted and then after a few minutesthey brought out the correct one. All three of the pizzas plus the wrong one was very good. We were happy with everything andthe service we received. I knew of OTTO by name and reputation from Portland since I visit family there fairly often, but I didn't realize what I'd been... missing until I finally went to the Saco location. It was amazing. All we had was the four cheese pizza, but that was enough.The ricotta on it was to die for. Best I've ever had. So glad we decided to give it a try. Read more
The pizza was incredible, as you can see from the picture. I ordered the 4 cheese and added tomato as well as extra roasted... garlic. The roasted garlic was my favorite. I arrived just after it was ready(which is a very good thing because there is nowarming system. Your finished pizza just gets stacked on an open wire shelf with the rest of them). I also ordered and received3 sides of ranch that were on top of the box when it was handed to me. Nothing was said. It was only when I got to the car,placed the pizza on the front seat(which has a slight tilt) and watched the dressings slide off that I realized the covers werefar too large and were just sitting on top of the containers. Ranch dressing everywhere, through every microscopic hole in thevented seats. I understand that mistakes happen(ordering the wrong size cover). But, warn your customers! Better yet, put tapeover the top of the lid! At nearly $25 for one small pizza plus tip, I expect that level of service. What happened to me wascompletely avoidable, ruined my dinner(I did eat that beautiful pizza, but when it was cold because of all the cleanup) and willcost me a detailing because I do not have the necessary tools to get the remaining residue out. Accidents happen. I have trieda few different locations and will continue to try more. I encourage you to do the same. This Saco, ME location was mobbed on aMonday night, which tells you something.
