Some say don't judge a book by its cover. Please forget that statement and judge every bit of this place by its cover -- it is... truly the best karaoke bar I have ever been. Best people. Best wait staff. Best sound system. Best security. Best location. Bestdrinks. Best memories. Of all the things I have missed during Covid (my family, growth in my 401K, not having to bleach thegroceries, general freedom, fresh air, the Sac Kings, the unparalleled brew scene of the 916, the Davis Picnic Day, watchingSteph Curry lose, watching Sac State play the Aggs @ Hornet Stadium, the Golden Bear, farm to fork restaurants, pouring my ownpint at The Bank), there is nothing I long for more than a shot of Crown Royal and my moment under the spotlight at the BKB.Thank you for all you do. You complete me, BKB. Read more

The first time I came here I honestly thought it was a cool place to go especially being a local of South Sacramento. However... the second time I came I was extremely disappointed of the service, the environment, the staff and the prices. I wanted tocelebrate my 29th Bday here but I quickly changed my mind and found a BETTER LOCATION. I came in at 1030 to Karaoke. The mainBartender[Asian Girl] which is the manager of the place told me they stop doing Karaoke at 11pm. In the 30 minutes that I waswaiting for 11pm I was the only person in there that wanted to karaoke and they did not allow me to sing a song until 1055pmright before they stopped for the night. How can you be THE BEST KARAOKE BAR but stop Karaoke at 11? Then I ordered a WellsWhiskey and Coke TALL while I was waiting for a chance to sing. This is normally between a $4-$6 a drink no biggie. Thebartender gave me a short, so I asked her to make me the tall I asked for. She did and then gave me the bill for $13.00 for 1drink. I was shocked. If I wanted to pay that much for a drink I would have gone to Downtown and hit up an actual club orreputable bar. I paid my tab and wrote a note for the owner to speak with me because I did not want to throw an event somewhere, where my guest would have a bad experience! The owner never tried to reach out, apologize or speak with me. They simplydid not care. If you have no choice but to come here then make the best of what you have but if you have a choice go to the PineCove on 29th st in Midtown. It's a little bit further a drive but you'll enjoy yourself way more then the let down that is BKB! Read more

This place e is amazing..the food is outstan..we ordered the Mongolian Beef, crispy chicken wings, salt and pepper chicken wings... and crispy fried wrapped shrimp. It was awesome. The drinks are strong and mixed to perfection. I drank Margaritas all night. Now the crowd however was non existent there were probably 5 of us for about 2 hours then a few people straggled in. The soundsystem is good and the servers and bar girls are awesome. My friend is going to have her annual birthday party here. I can'twait. Read more

So I heard about this place through a friend specifically for the "food". I am only giving my review on the food. I placed an... order using their online system "Beyond Menu" and received an email confirmation of my order immediately to my email. Went toBKB to pick up the food, not one employee acknowledged my presence as I stood at the door waiting for about 5 minutes while theyseem to be setting up for their Karaoke night. I walked outside and called them. I advised that I had placed an online order. The gentleman who answered advised that they had not received the notification of the order. bummer#1..but I went ahead and toldhim my order over the phone. #44 Shrimp & Chicken Pad Thia and #08 (5)egg rolls and a caramel flan. He let me know that the flanwas no longer available...bummer #2 . Due to my inconvenience they deduced $5.00 off my total...ok, great. I sat at the bar andwaited for my food to get cooked. I ordered a happy hour beer from their board menu....$2.00 bucks yippy...well they ran out ofthe beer that I wanted from the happy hour..bummer #3....Ordered a substitute beer as I waited for my food. Sound system soundedgreat by the way, as I waited. Get home, taste the food.....nope, not up to par. bummer #4. ..Pad Thai noodles were dry andsticky, shrimp was overcooked, chicken was dry. Egg Rolls ok..nothing that I can recommend. Overall I probably won't come back.I can get mediocre food on my side of town in Elk Grove and not in this "seedy" little area in the South. Read more
