Hanging out with friends visiting from Southern Califoria. As always, I ordered a skirt steak, well marinated and very moist,... tender and well done! ( that’s how I like my steak) with cauliflower chili de arbol crispy shallots & onions, so delicious!!We had an Awesome and excellent service from our main Server Kim and other staff that was serving us. Next to the Golden One where the Kings play, this place is great. The decor is nice, the ambience is superb, the service is... always solid and the food and cocktails are above average. The steak is tender and nicely done to order. I wish the chef willcomplement it with something else other than chips but even those are good. What we ended up doing was to order a side ofsomething else like Mac and Cheese which was very good. I like seating at the bar which could be busy during weekends andnights. The patio area seems popular at the moment. Thus, perhaps reservations may be necessary. Overall, really solid steakhouse and cocktail bar in Sac. Recommend to visit! Read more
Brought my partner here to celebrate a special accomplishment in her life. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to... squeeze us in. The hostess asked us why we were there and I told them about her accomplishment. From that moment forward, wewere blown away by the staff, waitress and management congratulating her at different moments. They provided complimentarychampagne, an appetizer and dessert - all of which were delicious. We ordered glasses of red wine to go with our steaks, brusselsprouts and Mac n cheese as appetizers, and two different cuts. All of it was delicious, cooked perfectly and of a good servingsize. The dessert was a perfect mix of salty and sweetness, with a little crunch. The best part though was our waitress was veryknowledgeable, sweet, fun and full of so much character that it made our night. Went there for lunch. The bone marrow appetizer is really good as are the oysters (if a bit on the small side). Service was... great and the rib eye stake was done to perfection. Not sure what i would change about this place. Food was good size, servicewas great, taste was spot on and pricing wasn't too bad for what you get. Read more
I'd like to give this a 4.5 but that wasn't an option. And the only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because I think the... steak could have been a little more flavorful. Other than that, the experience was great. The food, overall, was really great. Ihad the 32 oz. porterhouse. It was very good. The thick cut bacon and the watermelon salad were both amazing. Kim was an amazing server, super attentive, great food recommendations, and listened for what our preferences were. Great... run-through of the unique cuts of meat they have. She also brought by a sauce we debated but didn’t select and it turned outto be great! GM or whoever the lead was tonight was also great he greeted us after our host seated us. Came here for my birthday dinner. We had an AMAZING meal!! Justin, our server, knew his stuff and gave us excellent... recommendations. We decided to go with the Tomahawk sharable steak. It ended up being delicious AND the better way to goprice-wise since all of us at the table were going with some type of meat cut anyway. Have to give a shoutout to Stephanie the manager and Zach our server here, they were both phenomenal, personable, knowledgeable,... and clearly passionate about not only the food here but also their customer experience. Two of us dined here on a Tuesday night,not too busy and very attentive staff. We were greeted personally by the manager of the restaurant at our table, making us feelvery welcome. Drinks: I had the Pisco Sour since I love Whiskey sours and I was not disappointed, 5/5. My gf had “The Pig andthe Lady” it was sweeter drink but perfect for her and I’d by lying if I said I wouldn’t order it haha, 5/5 Food: I hadthe Ribeye Cap, my girlfriend had the roasted chicken with fried rice, Ribeye cap is 5/5 (I had the mushroom brandy sauce) butit didn’t need the sauce to be great. I tried her chicken and for me would be 4/5, the bite I had was a little dry. We orderedsides of Mac n Cheese and Roasted Garlic Mash potatoes, both exceptional. But the star of the night was a surprisingly compedstarter of the fried spinach salad, this is a MUST get when you visit! It’s fresh, variety of flavors and a little kick (whichwe love) from the fresh jalapeños. We capped off the night with a dessert that was also comped when the manager came by andsaid we had to try the Caramel Turtle ice cream dish, and she wasn’t wrong, highly recommend. Overall service was justexceptional, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and they seem to take a genuine interest in you or your likes. Ambiancewas nice, gave us Cafe bar, casual fine dining vibes. All of this for less cost than a lesser experience at other steak houseswe’ve tried in the area! We will be back! Read more
