What a beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown. Ella is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or for a treat... yourself night. Upscale decor, fine cocktails and quality food put Ella on the map, but the amazing service is what keeps youcoming back. Our servers attention to detail and professionalism were as good as it gets. The server also had incite into winepairings for the food (great to know / have!). We have tasted many dishes here and have loved them all. Note, the menu is notlarge but each dish is executed near perfectly. Recommend trying oysters as they are fresh and amazing. The beet salad is amust as well. Ella is a 5 star if there ever was one! Couldn't ask for anything better. I have a gluten and dairy allergy. I figured I'd be able to find at least one thing on the... menu to fit that, and unfortunately there wasn't. The server and chef offered to make something off menu for me. I had dinner,wine and dessert. Absolutely amazing tasting food. Portions were good, I was comfortably full by the end. Went in expecting a good experience based on word of mouth and was blown away by the quality and attention. Staff went above and... beyond to make us welcome. We had happy hour eats and drinks and dessert. I highly reccomend the old fashioned. The staff andchef were able to accommodate a garlic allergy. Next time (I am from Canada but already planning the next visit) I will dress upa bit more. This place deserves it. Read more
Was the food good? Hell yeah! It was awesome. Came here with my family and the food was fenomenal, the waiter suggested the... fried chicken and it was one of the best fries Chicken I have tasted in my life. The oysters are a must, and also the tuna. Theplace was packed even for a Tuesday so easier to call ahead and make reservations. Ella Dining was an amazing experience. We came here for our anniversary and the service did not disappoint. Everything was... delicious and the bone marrow appetizer surprised us. It was my 34th anniversary. March 15th. I made reservations for my wife and myself to dine at Ella's, and to see Shin Yun. We... entered near the bar area and decided to go to the bar and wait for our table to be seated for dinner. My wife ordered the houseold-fashioned and I had a grapefruit Collins. The place had a nice crowd and a very Lively and festive atmosphere. All of ourservers were good-looking and very attentive. Everything was wonderful and elegant. Right down to the menu with happy 34thanniversary Sylvia engraved at the top of it. We ordered steak tartare the mushroom soup the pepperdelle pasta , delicata squashand the filet. All of the food was cooked to perfection my steak was a perfect rare just the way I ordered it with just theright amount of char and seasoning. The vegetables were excellent and outstanding.. The serving sizes were very adequate so wewere both able to share and enjoy everything together. They even gave us a complimentary deconstructed s'mores for dessert. This place deserves 6 stars, I honestly cannot believe how amazing the food and service were here (thank you so much Jolene and... staff!). We had an unforgettable experience, if you have the money and time, I can't recommend Ella's enough. First came thebread with truffle butter ( just as good as it sounds) then we ordered the sweetbreads and beet salad for appetizers. Thesweetbreads were light and delicate, the beet salad was an adventure on your palate with beautiful flavors and textures in eachbite. For entrees I ordered the lamb and my impossibly handsome and funny fiance ordered the flat iron steak. Both wereflavorful and cooked perfectly, I'm not sure which I enjoyed more, honestly. For dessert we enjoyed the famous Ella bar andseasonal pumpkin cheesecake... I was so excited I forgot to take pictures, but they were artistically presented and tasted evenbetter than they looked. A truly amazing experience from beginning to end. Ella became an instant favorite after only one meal,I will definitely be bugging my fiance to go back soon! Read more
Great ambiance, great drinks, great service, steak left something to be desired. We absolutely loved our starters(beef tartare,... peach burrata, Cesar), but the tenderloin came out cool and rare, when I ordered it medium rare; very little flavor too.
