Jackson Catering absolutely delivered on our wedding day! We went with the Wine Country Cheese Station for the appetizer and it... was completely gone after the cocktail hour. For dinner, we went with the buffet service. Their service was impeccable and itran seamlessly. Our guests were able to get their food in a timely manner. Our guests and including us RAVED about the food. Werecommend the Cast Iron Crisp Chicken and Braised Beef Short Rib!! Jackson Catering really delivered! We enjoyed two tastings before the wedding and were impressed by their personal attention as... well as the delicious food. They were a pleasure to work with leading up to the big day and all of our guests RAVED about thedinner which made us feel great. Some of the best food in Sacramento! They somehow have managed to make everything on their menu high quality gourmet but feel... like home made goodness. I've never used them as a catering service, but have heard nothing but great things. Stopping by therestaurant to pick up some meals to go is what keeps me coming back here, but I will be definitely using their catering serviceif I plan a large event in the future. Ordered a Christmas dinner from them - trying to support local businesses. Food was pretty good, but very pricey. The dinner I... got for Thanksgiving from Raleys was just as good, and half the price. When I picked it up from their location, I popped thetrunk for them to put it in my vehicle. I guess I should have inspected how they put it in the trunk. Got home and it was allspilled everywhere (it's a brand new car, btw). Would be worth 3 or 4 stars if it wasn't for that! Read more
In this time of Covid and not eating indoors, with most of the better restaurants closed, it is very challenging to get quality... to- go food. Jackson Catering is the remedy. I've ordered from here about 5 times and each time the food was so so good, fromthe side salad with all the trimmings and delicious dressing, to the roasted veggies, meats and sauces. If you are needing a"real meal" without the fuss of cooking, I highly recommend this place. You can call in orders or order online. We most recently had them cater a BBQ lunch for our company and they took care of absolutelyeverything for us. Everything we?ve ever had from Jackson Catering has been delicious - most notably the perfectly seasonedtri-tip, the manicotti, the mac-n-cheese AND the absolute BEST mashed potatoes ever! My sisters and I needed a place to have our parents 50th anniversary dinner. After considering a few other places, I contacted... Chef Jackson and his manager Danica to inquire about them hosting the event at his restaurant. From the time we first sat downwith the two of them to go over potential dishes and drink service until the last bite was taken, everything was superb. Dishrecommendations were perfectly in line with the season as well as meeting our food preferences. Communication during theplanning phase was very professional and we always knew what was going on. On the day of the event, the restaurant looked muchmuch better than I anticipated. Granted it doesn't have the decor and ambiance of a typical five star restaurant, it was quitenice and spotlessly clean. All the dishes were absolutely amazing with my entire family loving all of them. The service wasalso amazing with all the courses neither being rushed nor leaving us wondering where our food was. My fiance and I have booked Jackson Catering for our wedding in May 2023! We went in for a tasting and the food was amazing.... Staff was very nice and informative, they do it all on the wedding day from start to finish and the pricing was veryreasonable. We'll see what happens on the big day but from what I've experienced do far, I think we are in good hands! Read more
