Came for brunch with family that were in town visiting. Staff were exceedingly nice but the food was pretty bad. The La Bamba... chicken sand was fried to the point of having a burnt flavor and complexion. Both my aunt and mom barely touched their shrimpand polenta dishes. The shrimp were over cooked and the polenta … dry and flavorless aside from the cheese sprinkled on top.My mom ordered a blueberry sparkling drink that she really enjoyed. I was initially excited about this place I've heard so many good things about it. I had made reservations not long ago for pre... Valentine weekend. It seemed very convenient since my husband and I were staying at KimptonThe Sawyer which is wrapped aroundit. As we arrived the outside seating area was trashed. Garbage all over... There wasn't a staff member on site. We waited about15 mins still no sign of staff and the doors were locked. This was very disappointing because I was looking forward to thiscute little spot everyone had been talking about. Thankfully we were just able to walk back to our room and order in. Trendy place located in Sacramento's DOCO. This was my first visit here. We came prior to the Kings game at Golden 1. The Punch... Bowl has a ton of energy, given the mixed crowd of adults and families. They have a bowling alley, darts, arcade games, a barwith table service and a diner. Lots of TVs in the bar, with many high tables and booths. The diverse menu has something foreveryone. It took a while for a server to come by. I flagged down Jordan, and he was friendly and helpful. He took our order andwas attentive during our stay. We opted for the Watermelon Polo Punch Bowl (4 servings) and the Farmers plate that had 2cheeses, prosciutto, deviled eggs, mustard, ham, and crushed pralines pecans. Place is nice with lots of games options. Be very careful bc the floors were very greasy by the dining area towards kitchen and... all throughout the paths to the kimpton entrance. I almost slipped three times even with Nike Cortez sneakers on. I did alert astaff member but they didn’t seem to care. We requested take out for steak fritz (medium rare), side salad (no onions), andchicken and waffle. The steak was well done, tough and chewy. Onions were on the salad, and the waffle did not have any flavor.Was hoping the chicken would be good but it unfortunately was not.
