Always my favourite place to have dinner when are here visiting family for the summer. The menu has a little of everything. Crab... cake were my choice this time and they weee amazing as always. Not fishy at all and the perfect amount of crab meat. Drinks arereasonably priced and the chicken wings are a must. Be prepared to wait if you want an outside table at dinner time during thesummer months but they have lots of outside tables to sit at while you wait or there is always a chance to grab a seat at thebar. “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them... feel” To: The current and future customer, Will posting this bring about any change, have any impact on The Dockside’sbusiness or its' owner, no probably not…but, I’m left thinking like Lin-Manual Miranda’s Hamilton, “If you stand fornothing, what’ll you fall for.” After work my daughter and a few friends were looking for a place to eat dinner beforecoming home. They called The Dockside Bar & Grill from the car and were told there would be maybe a 10-minute wait for a tableoutside. They walked in shortly after and were told it would be at least a 30-minute wait for a table outside. There were emptytables throughout the restaurant, the female owner/manager sat them in the back room. When they did get wait service, onefriend had asked to order a burger plain on a bun, the waiter replied no, adding burgers come already assembled on an open bun,told she’d have to "pick off" whatever she didn’t want when it came. They felt uncomfortable with the interaction had andstarted to feel both the owner/manager and waiter didn’t want them there and were trying to get them to leave the restaurantby providing less than optimal customer and table service. After paying the bill and leaving a tip they got up to go, theowner/manager started to clear their table. As they were walking out the owner/manager came chasing after them to stop and comeback, which they did, she began yelling at them about the tip they had just left on the table…she said, it “wasn’tenough”. They had left a 16% tip and expressed, they were college students living paycheck to paycheck, thoughtful about howthey spend their money and felt the tip given appropriately reflected the service they were provided. Stacey, Elizabeth and Linda run this restaurant flawlessly. The drinks are delicious. Very friendly staff. Non beer options on tap, including June shine, which is nice for gluten free folks.
I had the lightly breaded cod with mash and Spinach, yum!! My friend had the roasted poblano pepper stuffed with pork, I had a... bite, WOW, so good! The only downside side was it was super bright in there like a cafeteria and there wasn't really any musicplaying so the atmosphere wasn't good, luckily they have great food !! Read more
There was a line here on a Monday afternoon for lunch! We waited maybe 10-15 minutes. It wasn’t bad at all. Definitely get... the lobster spring rolls. This was better than our entrees. Every bite had a large chunk of lobster and the sauce reallyenhanced the flavor. Pulled pork sandwich was on the lunch special. It was pretty good. Not extraordinary.
