Went to Townline BBQ on a Saturday afternoon with about 22 people and 19 cars. The owner/manager came out personally to greet us... and ensure we had parking. They originally blocked off their lot to ensure our classics were protected but we got there verylate. Either way they ensured our cars were safe. Now for the food. My lord everything was fantastic. Not one person in thegroup had a complaint and two weeks later they are still talking about it. I had the half rack of ribs, kids portion of brisketand greens. Everything was delicious. No, I could not finish it had to share the ribs with a few people. My buddy had a pulledpork sandwich which he said was one of the best he ever had. This means a lot as he is never satisfied with the food. Cannotwait to go back. Read more

Amazing ribs! We grabbed a half rack, some beans, cornbread, and pulled chicken then headed to the beach to eat around a fire.... The ribs and spicy bbq stole the show! Next time we?ll get at least a full rack. This will be a new tradition whenever visitingSag Harbor. Townline BBQ - you should get some merch like T-shirt?s or long sleeves. Read more

Today we took my daughter's friend and the rest of the family out to Montauk just to walk around. We do this a couple of times a... year. Montauk was having their music festival which was kind of awesome but unfortunately they had the giant rock wall closedso you couldn't walk around the lighthouse and get to that little secluded beach. On the way home obviously everybody was hungryso we have been wanting to go to town line barbecue forever. The last time we went in there my son was about six or seven yearsold. He cried because they didn't have chicken tenders so we didn't get to stay and I've hated the boy ever since justkidding. They have a full bar which was run by the greatest bartender. He takes pride in the drinks he makes and it wasdefinitely evident in the margarita my wife had. I had a founders watermelon beer. I assure you this is not my typical type ofbeer but it was a hot day and I just wanted something lighter. Now he eats like a man so I'm kind of happy. We ordered thefamily meal which consists of a full rack of St Louis ribs a ton of smoke chicken and I swear a full cornbread. Exactly how Ilike a little bit of a bite to them without falling off the bone. They are not soft but have a dry rub on them which is a littlespicy but nothing even remotely over the top. There is barbecue sauce on the table but I enjoyed them the way they were. It didcome with a side of beans that I think were the best beans I've ever eaten. I didn't try the chicken because I was enjoying theribs but the rest of the family said it was great. We added a quarter of a pound of brisket and I love that they ask you if youwant it dry wet or mixed. Dry means no fat wet means lots of fat. We got it wet because there's something about the fat thatjust adds so much flavor. My daughter's friend did not like it but I was proud of her for trying it lol. We also added roastedcauliflower. I love the cauliflower but no one else really did. As a surprise my daughter bought Read more

The spicy barbecue sauce is the best I've ever eaten. That's saying a lot from this southern girl raised on Memphis bbq!... Generous portions, good slaw. Didn't love that the bun got soggy extra fast and that the meat was more chopped than pulled, butthe flavor was spot-on, so all is forgiven. A la carte ordering at the counter, make your own drink, and seat yourself. Veryclean and a friendly staff. Was nice to be greeted when we walked in and spoken to as we left. The napkins also get 5 stars.High fives to whoever made that call. Read more

This quaint little BBQ spot off the main road en route to Montauk provides the nourishment of American country culture. Sitting... adjacent to a farmland meadow, the scenery offers a country backdrop for perfect for photos. The interior decor feels like youstepped into Texas or Nashville, a much needed escape from the bustling city life of NY boroughs. With its friendly service,Townline has established itself among Hollywood celebrities that own their vacation home in the area for a filling BBQ meal.Their signature loaded buffalo fries are must get. Along with their brisket sandwich and cheeseburger (which comes in bothsingle or double patties). The bar area provides a good space to settle and wind with a pint size Pilsner beer! Special thanksto Jill and Dave for the memorable service! Read more
