This was our 2nd visit and we were in post lunch rush as we were the only ones at the restaurant. We were taking our food to go... for a picnic. We placed our placed our order and my wife had a few special requests for her order and the man taking her orderwas attentive to her requests. When our food was ready he even verified everything was to our liking before bagging it up for usto leave. Apparently, I?ve neglected to write a review, even though we eat here about once every couple of weeks. We love it ! I love... pulled pork. I?ve had some BBQ that is too ?smoky? , seems artificial. My first stop at this location. I had to get the sampler platter. There wasn't one thing on the platter I wouldn't eat again. ... I enjoyed all the sauces, but the meat had enough flavor I honestly didn't need sauce. I can make mediocre BBQ at home, but Iwas happy paying for this level of quality bbq. The woman working the front today was very friendly. I will definitely be backwhen I'm in Saginaw, in the future. Read more
Excellent BBQ! The wings, tips and pulled pork get 5 stars! Honestly, the BEST I've had in Saginaw. The tips were super meaty... with just enough smoke and they fell off the "bones". I had 4 sauces to chose from, with the Carolina being my #1 fav. Supernice manager and great atmosphere. Fountain pop would of been nice instead of bottled but we were reassured that it was on theway. Sides were just ok, I had mac and cheese and coleslaw. The coleslaw was very fresh just a little bland. I was in the area, the reviews were great so I had high expectations. I ordered the Big Mark Sampler for takeout. Rib tips,... pulled, chicken, pulled pork, sausage, Mac and cheese, beans and peach cobbler for dessert. Even though the sampler comes injust south of $30 it is enough to feed 2 people and a good value for the prices Also, all the sauces provided were unique andtasty. Unfortunately I found the meats average and was disappointed they did not have baby back ribs and only St. Louisstyle. The Mac and cheese was flat, baked beans were boring but the peach cobbler was very good. Located in a strip mall andhard to find without gps. Large parking lot. Booth and flattop seating with a blues theme and writing all over the walls.Bottled pop and water available for purchase. Appeared clean. Normal service I wanted to give it higher then an ordinary rating but it wasn?t in the cards.
