Superb service ! We rented the downstairs room for a 10 person private event and the waiter Felix was really nice and... accommodating despite some of our guests showing up fashionably late. They never rushed us or pushed us out even though westayed shortly after their closing time. Thank you for the perfect service and really good food. Would definitely recommend!!! Read more
I was looking for something good to eat on the south shore. I ended up in St lambert and finally selected Bidon for dinner. The... place was somewhat busy but wasn?t packed. I found parking right in front of the restaurant. This was a good sign. Dimly litthe restaurant had a rustic feel. Music was playing in the background. Little did I know that the ambiance was set for an epicmeal which was about to begin. We ordered: short ribs, crusted iceland cod and for the kids; chicken nuggets and burger andfries. The short rib was so tender, and loaded with rich marbling and full of flavour. The chimichurri sauce and marinatedshallots paired nicely with the beefy flavour of the short rib, adding a fresh and bright taste to the overall A+ dish. It wasthoughtful of them to ensure the dish had a healthy starch and veggies (mashed sweet potatoes, and glazed carrots) The aroma ofthe pine nut butter and burnt oranges infused well with the light flavour profile of the Iceland cod. At first we didn?t expectthis restaurant to cater to kids as the menu does not have a kids section. Fortunately we were wrong. They do have meal optionsfor kids. When most restaurants cook for kids, the food is bland and terrible. Not at Bidon. The kids meals were actually verygood!The burger was so moist and juicy. The chicken nuggets were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fries werecrispy and lightly salted. The kids really enjoyed their meals. The CHOCOLATE FONDANT with salted caramel sauce and vanilla icecream was rich, luxurious, fat-filled, highly caloric and possibly downright bad for me. But it was sooo good. After countless visits, over many years, we have never had an unpleasant experience. The service is always excellent. Our... waitress was very knowledgable with their private import wines and very attentive to our table. The food is always amazing. Myfiance's vegan cauliflower bowl was by far one of our favorite dishes we have eaten here. Congratulations to the whole team. Their hard work definitely shows. Read more
