Fun place to hang out and grab a bite to eat and a drink! They say this is was a hangout for the Molly Maguires who were... attached to the old coal mining days. Pretty interesting. Staff was nice and the menu had lots of good options. The food weordered was really tasty! Read more

I was visiting my parents who live in the area, from out of state, and they insisted we needed to go to The Wooden Keg. What an... awesome bar! I loved the historical note of the location with the Molly Maguires. Growing up in the Skook, I know quite a bitabout them, so it was awesome to see the tunnel and the historical information shared in the decor. We had quite a few of theirdifferent entrees: loaded Irishman fries, roasted garlic parm wings, pierogies, French onion soup, blackened shrimp Alfredo, abrisket sandwich, buffalo chicken cheesesteak, and Mac and cheese. Our entire group was in love with the food, experience, andservice. When we?re back in the area, we will definitely return!! I had the wings this time but next, I will definitely have oneof their many Mac and cheeses (and some more wings because they are the best I?ve had to date!) I was super impressed by my momsMac and cheese she chose, usually they are dry, under cheesed and under seasoned at restaurants. Not at The Wooden Keg! It?screamy, cheesy and super flavorful. Can?t wait to come back!! Read more

Very laid back irish bar. Our server was fantastic. Plenty of indoor seating and some ourdoor as well. Lots of options on the... menu, it was almost hard to choose. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. I ordered the Irish Cheesesteak and let me say thislittle Irish girl from Philly 100% approves!! Prices were all reasonable. Street parking only. We went down stairs to see theold prohibition tunnel before we left, which was pretty cool! Would definitely reccomend!! Read more

Keg sauce is must try. It is the best tasting creamy hot sauce I have ever had (it is not at all spicy). It is a bit ?heavy? but... worth it. I went with boneless over fries. The boneless wings are very big and this portion was very reasonably priced-$13) Read more

On recommendation by our tour guide at the Yuengling brewery, the draw here is the prohibition speakeasy. It's a really neat... feature. Our server was very nice. They have the chesterfield ale on tap, rare find and fairly priced. My girlfriend and Iboth got the fish tacos, of which were very good! The chips that came with were fresh but not seasoned and the cheese dip neededanother element as well. We also should've asked for hot sauce at the beginning of the meal. ..server gladly brought us wingsauce upon request. Overall very good experience. Read more

Great food and service! Try the avocado bacon burger! Beautiful old building. Make sure to venture downstairs and see the... prohibition tunnel that led to a distillery across the street. Read more
