Husband and I were looking for some place different to eat dinner last night. Sick of the same old places and I have wanted to... eat here for some time, but it isn't just around the corner from our home. Finally made it here and it was a great decision. Cool atmosphere, interesting items are throughout the establishment, friendly service and delicious food. I had the Chicken andWaffles and hubby had the BBQ Corned Beef with french fries. Not only did the food look delicious, but it was delicious! Thebeer is reasonably priced too. We will be returning to try the burgers next time. Butter Run used to be our go-to spot in the area because of the awesome food and amazing whiskey selection. However, the last... 5-6 times we've been in over the past year or so, the service was lackluster to just plain bad. The bartenders don't knowanything about the whiskies and figuring out what is in stock or not is a painful process. Took a friend after talking the placeup and sat at the bar. He had to order three times, finally settling on, "whatever you CAN find." The bartender, a middle-agedbrunette with glasses and a loud and raspy voice, was clueless, annoyed by us, and did not even know what common labels likeBasil Hayden looked like (which made looking for anything rare futile). This attitude and reluctant service inspired us to cashout early and go drink good whiskey somewhere else where the bartenders didn't need to cover up their lack of knowledge bytreating us like an inconvenience. Went there two nights ago for dinner and ordered a cream ale they had on the draft list. Samebartender on shift. The beer that came out was flat and tasted like draft lines. The replacement beer I ordered after that, anAmber Bock, was also flat and tasted like draft lines. I'm guessing the bartender didn't bother to pour out the beer that hadbeen sitting in the lines all day, something that is an SOP anywhere else. My girlfriend and I both decided BR has lost it'stouch and probably won't go out of our way to come back even though it's local. The food might be good for the area, but thewhiskey selection is just a decoration if they don't have people who care about it and want to sell it. That used to be thevalue proposition here. Now, it's just convenience with the same lackluster service found elsewhere in the Shores. If you'regoing to have a whiskey selection that requires a book, maybe have some staff that know more than just how to overpour singleliquor highballs and crack White Claws for regulars. Read more

The exquisite talents of the kitchen staff and the vast menu of liquor were dwarfed by the gross incompetence of the servers.... The staff was so rude that my party thought it was a gag at first. The bartender/ waitress Gerogianne, was so rude to us, thatwe will never go back. With almost nobody in the restaurant, we had to ask for food and beverages multiple times and were yelledat to be patient. Our server kept forgetting items and actually got mad at us for asking for them a second time. They also havean incredibly rude and profane server named Karen who is as incompetent as she is obnoxious! If you wish to sample the food I?dsuggest carry out only. If you go in person, avoid these servers like the plague. Read more

One of my favorite places to sit down for a drink and food. The menu is awesome I've now been three times and tried something... different every time and have been happy with every choice. Potato skins are solid and the Ruben is really good. Read more
