Poor Customer Service? my husband and I were both excited to eat here, the place looks great when driving by. We parked in back... and entered, then stopped at the counter where two hostess/waitress? were talking. They kept talking? okay, but after about 2-3minutes of them talking and not acknowledging us, it was pretty awkward. They intentionally would not break eye contact with oneanother as the 4 of us all stood within relatively close proximity. Their body language spoke 1000 words???You will wait, andyou?ll like it!? Then the hostess with the shoulder length stringy black hair finally turned to say to me, ?Okay? just two thisway? she asked if the patio was okay, my husband said yes. She lead the way to our table, placed the menus down and then walkedaway. Again, no one stopped by to speak or acknowledge us for what seemed to be an eternity, but in fact it was almost 10minutes. Did I mention? the table was the only table in full exposure to the sun. I?m pretty sure I tanned from a dark chocolateto a purple and my poor husband, naturally a ginger looked like a red beet. Tonight stopped at my favorite local haunt for a burger. First I want to say the service was exemplary as always. Tonight, the... food not so much. The potato leek soup was tasty, but cold. My steakhouse burger which is my favorite go to, was dry, very dryand over done. I wasn't up for a reorder. Guess it does matter who is on watch from a management perspective. Big difference infood quality I've noticed depending on who managing that night. Read more

All I can say is the place used to be a lot better before the owners separated. Used to be able to come in here and get a ribeye... dinner that was unstoppable. The quality went down and the prices went up basically. There will be no changing though this placeis always either fairly busy or really busy. Half off Pizza day is the time to come because it actually makes the pizza a prettygood price instead of way overpriced. The pizza was better when they first rolled this out and has gone downhill a little bitsince it seems. Read more

Rick and I used to visit this place when his Mom was in the nearby nursing home some years ago. We don't give 5 stars so... easily, but we are pretty careful and not so quick to go anywhere today since Covid, but we were out and decided to stopin. The staff was very friendly, we were greeted when we arrived and seated pretty quick. Unless they were eating already andat their table, everyone had masks on. There are posted signs before entering; eating a mask is a must! The food was very freshand hot and both of us enjoyed our lunch. We both had burgers, but I also got a salad. The restaurant was in ship shapecondition, sparkly clean and you could tell they were paying attention to all the details. Great job Shores Inn and staff. However it was disheartening to see 4 young staff members primping in front of the... mirrors and just socializing with each other when there was quite a bit of paper trash on the floor.
