I ordered a chorizo omelette and it was nothing short of AMAZING! It came with hash browns and toast. Cilantro was mixed into... the egg and was not overly cooked. The avocado and sour cream on top was not just to look pretty, but it was enough for everybite! I don?t take pictures of food, but I wished I had taken a shot before devouring it all. The staff is soooo friendly andthey are there to meet your coffee refill needs before you get to the bottom of the cup. Speaking of coffee: the coffee is FORREAL! Much better than any ?Sixbucks? (Starbucks) coffee or Evan a specialty coffee shop. The staff is very attentive and wellworth over a 20% tip! The breakfast for a cheapo like me was at the top of my spending limit I put on myself, but I?d do itagain in a heartbeat at Gillwood?s! We stopped at Gillwoods for breakfast on our way out of town. It was delicious! We sat at a table nestled in the window so we... could watch the action in downtown St Helena. The coffee was great, service was attentive, and our food was delicious. If youare also gluten free, they have a lot of gluten free options including waffles and pancakes that were incredible! Nice surprisingly large cafe with small town charm. Got eggs Benedict and they were ok not the best I?ve had but still good.... Bloody Mary was so so. I would try again if I was in the area but that could be a long time from now. I?d be interested in lunchas well. Read more
We took a brunch on Sunday morning and we enjoyed so much the meal, the ambiance and the friendly and caring staff. Large choice... of products, pancakes, meats and fruits, gluten-free and dairy free options... A great place for breakfast, at least! Read more
Really nothing special. I have no idea why this place has so many five star ratings. It?s just average food and service. Pretty... much the most boring overpriced breakfast I?ve had in awhile. Not to say it wasn?t satisfying, but it was satisfying in the mostbasic sense?like ?ok, I just ate some breakfast.? I?ve had better food at some cheap diners before. That being said, the chailatte was good, and they didn?t royally screw anything up with any of the food?just really expected more. Go in with lowexpectations and you won?t be disappointed. Read more
