Got pick-up on Mother's Day, we ordered extra for leftovers, which never happened, and man were we disgusted. We like spicy food... but everything was bland and stale. The chow mein noodles were white! no veggies in our rice or noodles, and the chicken was sobad, fatty and nasty! Immediately my stomach couldn't take it. I tried to reach out and wrote an email to the business, just tolet them know the food was beyond terrible (if I was an owner of a restaurant I would want to know), and of coarse I got NOResponse back. No flavor to our vegetable chow mein, vegetable fried rice, or to the eggrolls. It's over priced and my boyfriend and I had to... add tons of stuff to it at home to make it better. The food was hot and not drenched in oil though from what we couldtell. While waiting for our our food for take out, the table we sat at had a huge layer of grime across it. The staff werepolite and offered us free water, but we declined because we couldn't see where we would be getting the water from. When wepulled up there was a loose dog, but found out later it belonged to the staff. The staff person put their dog away, butproceeded to tell us how it was normal for the dog to be there apparently. Anyways, it's not a place I'd recommend. Read more
My quiet lunch place. It's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, but it's definitely good. I love the staff, super cool... family and very friendly. Also about the only place in St Helena to get a reasonably priced meal. Read more
We've been to Golden harvest quite a few times this past year and the food has been excellent. Unfortunately, this was not the... case with our latest visit. We were there during the lunch hour so we ordered the broccoli beef and the chicken delight lunchplates. The broccoli beef was too salty. The Chicken Delight was anything but delightful. The 4 or so Small pieces of chickenwere tough and looked very unappetizing. Both plates were swimming in their respective sauces. But...Because we'd had such goodexperiences before, we didn't hesitate to take a bite even though the food didn't look as good as usual- but that was a mistake. Read more
My family and I went to the Golden Harvest Restaurant for a birthday celebration. At first sight you might not think that it'll... be a good place, but don't let the decor fool you. When we arrived it was empty. Of course they came right out to help us.Before the waitress was back with all of drinks, our first appetizer came out. We were impressed. The garlic chicken wings weredelicious. They were fresh and still has a nice crisp skin. The fried prawns were fresh and not over cooked, with the perfectamount of fry batter. We all ordered different items so that we could share. Every dish that came out was perfect. This was agreat choice for a celebration. The food is a 10 on a scale of 1-10! YES YES YES eat here!
