I was doubtful at first but assured that all of the plants on the menu came from their 4 acre farm. ALL of the food we had was... amazing! I HIGHLY recommend getting the vegetables with fermented soy dip and the sourdough bread. You will NOT be disappointed. If you don't like loud spaces you can reserve a yurt for up to 10 people. On my first visit back to Napa Valley in a long time there was one place on my short list. The Charter Oak did not... disappoint. You can’t go wrong sitting anywhere in the restaurant, I opted for the patio as it was a beautiful fallevening. The staff were super helpful and shared all sorts of personal insights about the food, wines and their origins. I evendiscovered a new wine maker that I am now obsessed with. The garden vegetables were delicious and I followed that with the porkcollar which is reminiscent of Chinese spare ribs, sweet tangy and delicious. The concept is solid, the execution is on pointand the team is top notch. If you have one meal in the area, you should give serious consideration to having it here. Read more

We stopped in here to have a cocktail and some small plates before dinner. Pretty cool vibe with the open flame cooking and big... open space restaurant. We sat at a high top next to the bar. Service was great. Cocktails were a nice change from winetastings. Apps were good too. Whatever the dip is with the raw vegetable plate is the ???? Read more

Delightful and memorable. The outside patio area is lovely and heated. The chef’s menu is mind blowing. Every course was... beautiful to look and even better tasting. It’s really like eating art, the care and craft that goes into each dish is trulyworth the experience. You will be thinking of the meal long after it’s gone. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’veever had. Read more

Interesting ambiance, good food. The bread they make is a must (they serve two sizes, the small is 4-5 thick slices, more than... enough for 2 people). Ribs dish was good and enough to share for a couple. Deserts were OK, but not exciting. Fire pit outsideis great for drinks with friends on a chilly evening. Read more

Absolutely fantastic. There wasn’t a single item on the Legacy Menu that I didn’t at least love. The house made sourdough... was perfect, better than Manresa Bread IMHO. And the chicken liver mousse? I’m generally not a huge fan - it’s fine,I’ll eat it. This though? Incredibly light, flavorful, and went perfectly as recommended with the Asian pears. My favoritethough might have been the cabbage preparation, which was paired perfectly with the cracked wheat porridge and the steak. Wouldcome back any day. Read more

Refreshingly simple yet nuanced menu highlighting local produce. Very attentive staff. We had trout and short rib, with sunchoke... and oyster mushrooms on the side. In house made bread with decades old yeast starter and house cultured butter was a nice touch.Ambience was grand yet relaxed, showcasing an open fire/ coal grill station. Highly recommend. Read more

Amazing spread of options. The waiter was excellent and the food was great. We got three mains and split them all. The... cheeseburger and short rib were awesome. For dessert, they've got a tequila cold brew that is worth a try. Read more
