I'm a trucker from Georgia and ate Mexican cuisine in each of the 48 main states. This place has some of the finest food in the... entire Country. ???? Love the food and MARGARITAS !!! The only problem I experienced was with the service. Unfortunately theserver didn't realize that when I asked about the Tacos that yes I wanted to eat them. Paid 20$ for two tiny tacos at their food truck at island park. They ran out of all their sides but still decided to charge us... full price after waiting in line 30+ minutes. The tiny tacos were decent but after hearing good things about lupes this wasdisappointing. Read more

I visited st. James for a personal matter and I had stopped by this restaurant to eat and I have to tell ya'll... it is indeed... the best Mexican food you can try! Good service!! Good food!! Better price!! If I ever come back no doubt about it I would knowwhere to eat. Try the FAJITA MIXED. Read more
There were four of us who bought a dozen tacos to share between four of us. Four tacos each of steak, carnitas, and grilled... chicken in soft shells. All four of us agree that the tacos were authentic and pretty amazing! We will be back soon! Read more
This was actually better than expected, considering I just picked a random place off the highway. Bonus - the main street it?s... on is pretty cute, and there are two picnic tables outside the restaurant. This is actually one of the more authentic tastingmexican restaurants I?ve eaten at outside of CA. I got 3 tacos for lunch, think I should have gotten 4 due to size. The mainreason I?m giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because the employees were not wearing masks (during covid), which I feel is importantwhen handling food and talking with patrons all day long. Had tacos de carnitas and tripas. Excellent tacos! Didn't quite like the torta de pastor. Friendly service.
