Much like how the weather can sometimes get in Saint John, this place was cold, dark and soggy. Very disappointed in the dine in... experience today at Thai Express Saint John east. Not only were the staff less than friendly, the actual temperature inside therestaurant was cool (we had to keep our jackets on). General Thai chicken very soggy and salty. Same with Phad Thai. Seems liketoo much sauce is being used in the prep. Soft drink machine out of service. One washroom out of service. One of the front doorsappears broken. Dimly lit in the kitchen area. If you are looking for a restaurant on the downhill slide, this is the place foryou. You can almost hear whispers of "can't be bothered" if you listen closely enough. Read more

I just ordered four meals, to go, from the Westmoreland location and am extremely dissatisfied with the food and service. This... was a special occasion and this experience soured the event. My food was made incorrectly according to your menu and myprevious experiences. I attempted to call to have this corrected but because it was close to closing (30 minutes before) myfirst two calls were not answered-- they went to your voicemail box which is full... I attempted calling two more time (fourcalls in total) and was hung up on the third and fourth time. My spouse, who made the order and picked up the food, went backto asked for a refund or some compensation and the employees not only called him a liar (regarding my meal being madeincorrectly and me being hung up on) they refused to acknowledge their mistake and told him that they will not do anything forus and that they were closed (according to your hours he wasn't there after closing). This type of service is unacceptable. This experience could have gone a completely different way but because of the poor service, out right dismissal/ denial of theirmistakes and the refusal to correct it, I will no longer be returning and will be advising other to avoid ordering here as well. Our first experience at a Thai express and boy was it memorable, in a bad way. We picked out what we wanted from the website and... headed in. We were informed that they didn't have one of the dishes we chose and questioned where we got the info from. I showedthem the website and they shrugged and said they don't have it. So fine we picked something else. Being Sunday we chose thefried rice special but I guess we didn't order it right because they just gave us the rice not the Sunday combo specially. Towhich I was informed that it costs extra. No worries. I will pay the difference. That didn't go over well. Staff was quitesnarky. :/ This soupy sloppy mess was supposed to be pad Thai but it tasted like they poured a bottle of sweet and sour bbqsauce out of the bottle onto the plate :( The Thai soup was water with zero flavor. I wish I was exaggerating... like litterwater. Fried rice was ok. They didn't give us enough utensils to eat with and disappeared into the back. We waited and calledbut no one came. so that was fun. Had chicken stirfry and my wife had yellow chicken curry. Both were prepared fast and both were delicious! I reccomend this... place for eat in or take out. Daye night or lunch and dinner. Just as good as on of their sister franchises in Pearson Airportwhere I always got the Pad Thai! Read more

Delicious food. The east end location is beautifully furnished and has a great atmosphere. I always go for the Pad See Ew with... beef. The portion of beef and noodles is generous, and tastes heavenly with a sprinkling of peanuts, fish sauce, and lime -- Allof which are free at the condiment station. Read more

The best thing about this place is the decor. The food was bland and tasted as if it had been sitting a while, each dish came... separately as well. Did not finish our meal or appetizers, and will not return. Read more

A little bit pricey. But the quality of the ingredients are reflected in the price. I like to go here because the cooks don't... seem to put too much sauce that overpowers the other flavors in the dish. I would recommend this place if you're looking to havea nice meal. Expect to pay around 10 to $15 per person. Read more
