Fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend. All of the food is homemade with the freshest of ingredients. My avocado toast with a... poached egg was excellent and the fresh fruit included raspberries and blueberries. Every dish can be made gluten-free and theyhave a good selection of vegetarian options. What an amazing surprise. We went for breakfast and had the Shakshuka. I love fusion foods, and this mixture of Mediterranean,... Middle Eastern and Canadian did not disappoint. It was spectacular! Not a terrible restaurant, but was disappointed when I visited. The kitchen refused to make a simple bagel & cream cheese, only... allowing me to order it with smoked salmon, and oddly, they don?t have bacon on the menu. When the meal I did order came out,(pancakes) they were mediocre at best, and pretty expensive for what you?re getting. Again, not a terrible restaurant, but notworth the money for the food or ambience. Read more

First Place I ate when visiting Saint John and is such a good stop! I have had hummus all over the Canada and I literally... could've eaten it all night long, so taste and flavorful. It was very filling with the bread that's great for an individual,family or friends, making it a must try in my books. I tried the Falafel V with soup and I can't help but say only good thingsabout the flavors and portion sizes. I eat a lot during meals and despite the sizes Its very filling and has a lot of differentingredients that make each meal unique. I don't go to/through Saint John often, but when I do I'll be stopping by to pick upsome takeaway food. The inside is very clean and organized, having a fun yet relaxing environment with all the healthguidelines followed to a tee making it feel even more comfortable during the pandemic. Not my first time at Uptown Eatery and not the last. During chop chop week we had the pineapple jalapeno burger along with the... hummus shwarma dish. Such a great lunch. Highly recommended. Read more

Found this place by accident. Flight was delayed a few hrs so went into down town St. John. Had been informed to go down into... this area and found this Eatery by chance. Nicely tucked into the street,clean and small. Good service and good food. Friendlystaff. Read more
