Worst meal I have ever had in my life. This wasn't our first visit either. We stopped on our way through St.Johns 1 month... earlier and it was horrible. We had taken our grandchildren to the zoo and thought we would give them another try. What amistake. Service was nonexistent. Ordered meals and waited 40 min. in the freezing cold dining room. We are in Michigan andit's mid October 48° degrees outside. Why is the air-conditioning still running? Maybe turn it off, save some money and stopraising your prices. Then you could afford to pay more servers. Finally my grandsons kids meal came 10 minutes before everyoneelse's . It was already barely warm so we had him eat it but then he got to sit and watch us eat when ours finally came. Needless to say sitting still at that point was hard. He had already been sitting in the booth for an hour. When the foodfinally did come my husband's burger was good however the bun was burnt. I'm not sure how a bun that hard and that dark evenleaves the kitchen. He had to flag down another waitress to find our waitress for us. He ask for a new bun and did get onewithin a decent amount of time but still the burger was no longer hot and the fries were mushy. My grandson and I both orderedthe classic sampler platter. Both spinach artichoke dips were burnt. Both of our quesadillas were burnt, the chips were nastyand greasy and we got over done cheese curds instead of Mozzarella sticks. Funny how we aren't allowed to switch items out onthe sampler platter but they can do it at will. Overall just a horrible experience. My husband asked the manager if they wereunderstaffed and he said he didn't know he had just gotten there a half hour earlier. You mean to tell me you've been here ahalf hour and you don't know if you're understaffed or not?? The visiting manager gave my husband 2 $5 coupons for futurevisits which we will not be using. Wanted to get lunch in St. John's with a friend, and we decided on the Bee's. We are both pretty picky, but she got the steak,... and I got the salmon, and we both enjoyed our meals. Food was made quickly and came out hot. Our server, Laura, was friendly andeven made time to chat with my 4-year-old. The manager came out and said hello, checked how we were doing, and also had a chatwith my kiddo. Definitely will be coming back again! Read more
Bad quality food. Slimmy old lettuce in salad I started picking out after I started consuming it. You couldn't SEE the SLIM... until you got to the center/bottom of the salad tray. It was literally ROTTEN! Probably what made me sick! The portion size ofthe noodles was very small compared to if we dine in. Separated noodles from chicken to show the problem in portion size. Tookphotos to show. Also a couple hours after consuming the food I got sick. AWFUL Cramps in my stomach and gut, and extremely BADdiarrhea. If anyone else got sick from food this day report it to the health department. Read more
Was seated promptly, got our non alcoholic drinks promptly. Took longer than necessary to get the appetizer. Finally got our... meals; steaks were not cooked as ordered, broccoli was dry and cold, potatoes were luke warm. Asked for some hot melted butter;never got it. Waiter asked 15 minutes later if we still needed it when we were ready to leave. We left the money for our billon the table and left. Took an hour and a half to get cold food and poor service. Not Impressed at all! Service was poor. Did not have the pasta I wanted for the mac and cheese dish with chicken. Had to ask for... silverware. had to ask for the honey mustard that was to come with the chicken strips. The fries were chewy and stale. notfresh. I ordered a salad a Caesar Salad I have never had a Caesar Salad with tomatoes. It did not have any parmigiana cheese on it.
Great food and service. Stopped in late afternoon (early dinner lol) to take advantage of the 2 for $20 and had a wonderful... visit. Not a lot of staff on during this time and it was nice to see everyone was staying busy while taking care of thecustomers. Sad that Covid has affected the hospitality industry overall but you would never know by our visit at the SaintJohn's Applebees. We live in Dewitt and now have a new place to visit. Read more
