First off if you want a legit street tacos this local trip to Mexico is well worth every penny! I have driven by this place many, many times and today I finally stopped in. I cannot wait to go back. The carne asada tacos... were right on and the fried beans were smooth as could be. It was a very good plate of food. My friend had a burrito and Icouldn't believe he ate the whole thing. The only reason, he doesn't like leftovers. UPDATE: I have been several times wdifferent folks and sent others. Always good food. Authentic tacos, tamales and buffet. Best, authentic, Mexican food that I have ever had the pleasure of trying here in Saint Joseph, Missouri. I really like their... pork guisado in Chile guajillo. It had great flavor while having just the right amount of heat to it. My friends and coworkersall agreed that their tortas are phenomenal! I personally like the carnitas as the meat choice for my tortas but they have awide variety of meats and braises. I will become a regular of this place during my time here in Saint Joe. Read more

This is a hidden treasure to our town. The burrito is so huge no way one person can finish. Tacos are great, made with fresh... corn tortillas that they make everyday. If you want food that is authentic try the buffet. Where else can you get cactus? Theguacamole is so fresh made to order and cheeper than you can buy the ingredients. I've traveled to Mexico dozens of times, andGarcia's defiantly takes me back with it's friendly family smiles and great food. You just have to try new things. Prices aregreat for a family too.
