This location has to be the biggest of all the Revival(s) due to its space outside and inside the establishment. Staff were... personable and kind. Menu seems to change seasonally, the only things that are staples on the menu are chicken and Mac n Cheese.I enjoy the variety, the bar have amazing options. An evening here can be fun for a group and a date. Revival does an amazingjob keeping a neutral atmosphere so all can enjoy the food and environment. Second time going to Revival. First time was the restaurant on Nicollet ave over South Minneapolis. It was Fabulous. So when we... found out about the St. Louis park location it was a must. Unfortunately all the food was not good. The shrimp in grits weremore like cream of wheat and very soupy. Luke warm. Not a favorite. The chicken always a hit crunchy crunch crunch. The fried chicken is cooked and seasoned with perfection. We had white chicken breast fried country style. Coleslaw was tasty.... Biscuit was superb. Honey butter made the biscuit even better ? if that?s possible. The salad was served with just the rightamount of dressing and greens with thinly sliced radish and surprise corn bread croutons. I ordered white meat southern style chicken, a burger, and fried green tomatoes. I wish I would have gotten to try this food... while hot & fresh, so it's saying a lot to still give five stars. Can't wait to bring my friends and try those Brussels sproutsand mustard slaw! Read more
Very good food! First timers here so we opted to try a few things. A single patty burger is on the happy hour menu and I've... heard great things, so we shared one.. it was amazing and left me wishing I had ordered my own as my meal. Alas, we carried onwith a half bird, Tennessee hot style, and shared that. The serving was massive and chicken was delicious! The white cheddargrits as a side was perfect and they were bomb! I highly recommend the passion fruit paloma, while not heavy on the passionfruit flavor, it did taste like mexico in a glass. The service was sporadic at first, our server was tending bar for therestaurant as well as serving the bar and 4 tables in the bar area. She eventually caught up thanked us for our patience, andbecame more attentive. This did not impact our experience at all, she was clearly over worked and we are never in a hurry,always happy to give extra time to those that need it. We were thanked with a special treat at the end of our meal as well as averbal acknowledgement of her running around crazy like. Came around 3 and wasn't too busy. Service is very friendly and attentive. Food: Chicken tenders was 4/5. It was crispy on the... outside and soft on the inside. The sauce is creamy. And the bread was toasted with butter. I would say the chicken could beimproved with seasoning. It kinda tasted a but bland by itself. The toasted tasted great but it was slightly burnt. Hot frieswas 3/5. It was crispy fries with seasoning, green onions, and blue cheese. I do like the spiciness and green onions which addedto the flavor. The blue cheese balances the spiciness. The type of flavor of the spice wasn't my taste. Kinda has a bitter aftertaste. (This is just my opinion) Cheese curds was 4/5. The curds were crispy and chewy! It has a sweet coat and it's good byitself. It came with a blue cheese sauce but I couldn't really taste a big difference. The sauce could be a bit morestronger. Crispy cauliflower is 5/5. Like the curds crispy and soft. It came with the same sauce as the curds and I could usemore flavor on the sauce. Seasoning on the cauliflower was yummy! Crispy chicken sandwich 4/5. The chicken is was great withthe crispness and the spiciness. The oil on the chicken for flavoring could be more savory as it was just oil. This sandwich ismore on the sweetside. Pickles could be more vinegary. The tomatoes were good and sweet. Added some ketchup and it complimentedthe sweetness of the sandwich. Mac and cheese is 4/5. The noodles were well cooked and the flavor of the cheese was delicious.It's on the soupy side of cheese. The choice of seasoning was great and the breaded top adds a crunch to it! Read more
