I?ve been coming here for roughly 20 years and my experience this evening lived up to my expectations. I feel I received a good... amount of food for the price, and the wait staff were on point. My wife and I both got the Georgia Shrimp (fried) with grits andfries (requested grits in place of the coleslaw). Per the image our plates came out with grits instead of fries but when webrought this up it was corrected quickly and without any issue. The battering they use on the shrimp and fries is what I reallylove about the place. From my experience, if you?ve got complaints with The Crab Trap you are either going to have issues withevery place you go, or you happened to go on a very busy night at peak time. Yes they are busy, but that tells you that theirservice and food is at a quality which is reasonable for what is paid. Read more

What a discovery! The ambiance is incredible. Our server (Chrissy) was a joy and the food was really awesome! What I... liked most about the food is the batter/breading - very light and doesn't sit heavy. The battered fries are worth the tripalone but the Georgia shrimp will knock it out of the park! Another seafood establishment in Brunswick had held the title ofbest seafood restaurant with me and was my go-to restaurant when in the area, but .. BUT The Crab Trap has unseated them and nowholds that title! :) Thanks Crab Trap for a wonderful dinner. Read more

They did a really good job getting everyone seated as fast as they could. The food was really good and pretty good service also.... The food is a little pricy but is worth it. The fish tacos are really small so I don?t recommend getting that because the priceof it. But the shrimp and grits along with the Cajun shrimp is amazing. I?m happy with my experience and would come here again Read more

We had a very nice experience after some time at the beach! Sydney was an awesome waitress and took good care of us. The... environment was very calm. Our food was delicious! We got a 1/2 dozen oysters, sadly we only received 5 but it's not a big deal, they were really good. I got the shrimp and grits which had beautiful playing and a variety of flavor. The shrimp were verynicely cooked. Thank you guys! Read more

I visited The Crab Trap with my family over spring break for dinner. We got seated immediately to a table in the back half of... the restaurant. There was one waitress for 8+ tables. I ordered the shrimp and grits which tasted good but what made ourexperience average was the service. The main waitress that took orders and tried to keep up but the service was few and farbetween. Help showed up but still inadequate. I wasn't impressed. Read more

Was a little busy, had a 5 min wait. Staff was friendly and attentive. Has a full bar. We had broiled shrimp with paprika as an... appetizer, they were fantastic! Wife had crab legs, she loved them, portion was huge, as was the price - $50. I had shrimpbasket, the shrimp was great. Their fries were dipped in a batter, which I think is a cool idea, but mine were not fully fried. They were mostly limp, needed 30 seconds more in the frier. The hushpuppies tasted like I remember from my childhood, slightlysweet, crispy. I'd call them old fashioned, not some fancy version. Loved me some pups!!! You can get any seafood selectioncooked in any way, broiled, fried, blackened. Over all, great experience and food - will be coming back again! Read more

White visiting Jekyll Island on our yearly trip, We decided to wander over to St. Simons for some seafood. We came upon The Crab... Trap and decided to give it a shot. We ordered the crab soup and shrimp dip for appetizers. The crab soup was delicious and hadcrab in every bite. The shrimp dip was creamy and tasty also. For my entree I ordered the blackened fish, shrimp and scallopsplatter with crispy brussel sprouts as my. The food was cooked perfect with appropriate portions and seasoning. Our waitresstalked us into trying a piece of the homemade key lime pie, which like the rest of the food did not disappoint. Very glad westumbled upon this restaurant and will definitely be visiting again. Read more
