Yamato is one of the two best sushi places in Sainte-Julie (the other being Matsirô). I ordered over the phone and picked up... the order; I was a few minutes early so I watched the chef finish making the last rolls (it was made fresh and ready on time),and I appreciated the attention to detail. The maki sushis were well prepared, with just the right amount of fluffy rice and agenerous dose of fresh tasty fillings. I didn't try their sashimis (next time!). Worth a visit if you're in the mood for sushi????. Read more

Good food, friendly service. I like the general Tao Prasanna; good and spicy.

First time there and we will certainly go again and again. We had the degustation 5 service menu. Dumplings, seafood salad,... tartar, nigiri and maki. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious. We also had tea and desserts, fried bananas andcarrot/cheese cake hybrid. Prices are very fair for this highly quality food. The staff is extremely nice and explained to useverything in details. The only downside is that the restaurant is very small and our chairs were touching the ones from thetable behind us. Read more

Since they merged Yamato and Salon thaï, I feel like the quality dropped. In the past I really liked the General Tao Chicken,... not I find it too sweet and less tasty. Read more
