First off - my review is of the restaurant and not the whole complex. Rooms are good and the But the restaurant for dinner ...... This was one of the biggest disappointments after I have read so many good reviews about it 1. The food is average at best 2.The service is painfully bad, except for a younger waiter who really was trying his best. Kudos, young man 3. And omg so funnyand awkward - the vineyard restaurant doesn't carry their own wines in the menu Right after dinner we cancelled our breakfastbooking - I prefer to pay Tim Hortons rather then leave money at a place where we don't feel welcome *on a separate note -cleaning stuff in the corridors chat and laugh out loud like they are on a friendly stroll at a park, they do not greet visitorsand make them feel like a nuisance If my review will be read by hotel management - folks, you have serious problems withservice, apart from reception - they were quite efficient Read more
I heard good things of the hotel so I decided to stay in for a couple of days. I arrived yesterday was well greeted, the room is... spacious and everything seems fine. I went to sleep and set the alarm at 8am... I was woked up by the sun in the room thatseemed so bright I thought I went past 8, when I check it was 5h30. The curtains cannot go over the window so there's onlyblinds to cover the window and they dont block the sun... when I told the receptionist she asked me what was the problem. I hadto ask to be changed room and when I went back at noon still the room was not prepared. I spoke to the supervisor that saidthey're renovating and it should be fixed soon but that's something people usually like. For a reputated hotel I'm surprised tohear I should like being awaken at 5h30 by the sun even though I didn't ask for it. I'm very disappointed so far with my stay atthe hotel. Read more
This was an excellent stay for a Conference. The banquet food was excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meeting rooms were... comfortable and bedrooms were roomy and very comfortable. The local town, while small had plenty of amenities. A nice setting. Read more
The hotel experience was quite positive. A daily replacement of the coffee pucks would be nice, and a kettle for tea would also... be welcome improvement. The restauarant however could not have been more rude. I made a reservation and when I showed up atthe reservation time I was scolded to think they could seat me when they had a large party arrive late and they still hadn?ttaken their orders. I got an earful of everything that was troubling the shockingly rude woman at the front desk, and toldthere was no way they could seat me. Beautiful room, very modern (yet close to nature) and full of light, in perfect taste. Location is a bit far from anything I... would want to visit, but the hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway. We were there for a wedding and the venue itself wasperfect for that purpose, and I would not hesitate to organize a social event there. Service was efficient and veryprofessional. Read more
Worst service I?ve seen in years. At the peak of Covid, hotels were doing better than this. They use the labor shortage tu... justify everything. Had to wait 35 minutes to finally check in. Got into my room and had dirty pillows and floor (underneath thecouch I found chips and cereals?). Told the front desk about it. They told me they couldn?t do anything about it, and that theywould « try » to bring a new pillow!! They brought the pillow but didn?t even take the dirty one away. The restaurant andbar at the hotel are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so had to order delivery. Asked the front desk for plates they said I had tobring my own!! When they finally agreed to bring me plates they brought them with dishwashing soap asking me to clean them!!Didn?t have large towels in the bathroom, asked for big ones and they told me they weren?t sure they had enough for my room!!! Ispend more than 80 nights per year in hotels and this was the worst experience ever. The staff was rude and looked like theywere over any critics, they don?t care about their guests at all. They think their pool and nice pictures are enough so theydon?t need to take care of their guests. This looked like a cheap motel on the border of a highway. Do not recommend at all. Read more
