I'm currently eating here on my trip to Salem. I ordered the Rollo pizza. Be aware, it doesn't come with cheese. That was my bad... for not looking at the menu closely enough. It's a delicious pizza though. Sauce is a bit on the savory side rather than sweet.Just the right size for one person, if a bit pricey. The waiter-host was super friendly and seated me right away. Pizza - good we had a margherita pizza it was fantastic (: Crust of the pizza - the first thing i would taste would be the... crust and to me it taste like burnt tortilla but its wood fire what do you expect ? The crust is crunchy and the middle issquishy ???? We only had water ! No ice which i loved so much ???? so cant tell you anything about their drinks. Overallexperience i loved it ! Unimpressed. One waiter in the whole restaurant and we waited 30 minutes just to get drinks after we sat down. Pizza came out... cold and burnt. Waiter took our food the second we got the bill and we were not finished eating. Every staff member weencountered was unprofessional with customer service. Ordered Margherita and beef & blue. They both were fantastic! Dough is light, thin, has a nice chew to it. You could taste the... basil throughout the pizza om the Margherita. The beef & blue was a tad too salty after a couple of slices. Highly recommend! Read more
Bambolina and Kokeshi are in the same restaurant now, and you can order off both menus! Beautiful lunch date with my wife at the... joint kitchen. Ordered apps off both menus and a bowl of ramen and split everything. Friendly and quick service. Good prices.Great food! Italian and Japanese are fun to mix together. Highly recommended! Read more
We went here for dinner on a Saturday night and got right in. Service was quick and there was a decent flow of people in and... out over the 45 minutes we were there. Margarita pizza was excellent, I would highly recommend it. We also got a pizza with atype of sliced beef and a garlic sauce with onions and honey I believe, which sounded interesting, but wasn't for us. The crustwas still excellent on it, so I can't take points off for that. It seems like they have some standard menu items and rotatingspecial pizzas. Oddly they do different Asian dishes here and they looked excellent and many people were ordering them. Iwould definitely go back and stick with a more traditional type of pizza or maybe try a noodle bowl. Read more
BAMBOLINA/KOKESHI DERBY ST SALEM Hip pizza joint in historic Salem. Not your run of the mill pizza, these pies are cooked in... their 900+ degree, wood burning pizza oven, and their toppings are extraordinary. We tried 5 different pies. We also got theGrilled Caesar salad and some (kid size) pork belly ramen. (Kokeshi is Bambolinas sister restaurant and you can order fromeither menu). All the pies were great, but my favorite was the Rosso (we added cheese) fantastic!! The San Marzano chunky tomatosauce is the highlight of this pie. I could have eaten a bowlful!! The pies are small, about 11" so it's best to buy a few andshare. My brother enjoyed the Beef and Bleu pie and the pepperoni and hot pepper pie. The Forest Mushroom was really good too.Service was excellent, the restaurant is handicap accessible, gender neutral bathrooms, and a parking lot nearby. My onlysuggestion would be to replace the hard wood seats with something more comfortable. Read more
The salad had a great taste. I enjoyed the vegetables sliced into thin pieces. I personally enjoy eating my pizza cooked all the... way which is why the pizza was ?ok? but I would add that I enjoyed The pizza dough which was made in a firing wood oven. Itgave the dough an Authentic taste. Read more
