Top place to eat in Salem. We went here after reading several great reviews and it surely was what everybody was saying. The... food was incredible. My wife and I had the muscles and burratta for appetizers both were packed with flavor and very fresh. Forentrées we had the chitarra and bucatini. The chitarra was had a great depth of flavor and a nice kick of heat and my wife’sbucatini the bolognese was super rich and made the dish! Cause they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions with noissue! Would highly recommend anyone coming to Salem to try them out! Read more

So insanely amazing. If you enjoy food…and people…and appreciate the passion that went behind curating a perfect seasonal... menu, do not pass this up. This is an 8 (ish) table indoor establishment with an outdoor area as well. The staff is perfectlyattentive. The hot/cold plates are small and as they suggest, you should get 3-4 per table for just two people. The flavors areimmense and not quickly forgotten. This will be the best meal you’ll ever have. That statement deserves a period. And, not tobe forgotten, we enjoyed the bustling atmosphere and closeness to your neighboring tables that left you with friends who youbonded with over experiencing the same unique slice of this beautiful, somewhat touristy town . I’ll be dreaming of the day Iget to return to this restaurant again. You’re doing everything right. Thank you. Read more

A culinary journey. The staff at Settler are phenomenal and walk you through each section of the menu with recommendations and... suggestions. The plates build and complement each other; while the wine and cocktails are world class. A must visit in Salem, and in New England in general. Read more

This was without a doubt one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. My friends and I stayed in Salem during the weekend... of the Boston Marathon and came across this place as we were exploring town. We didn’t have a reservation but went around 9pmon a Saturday and they were so flexible and accommodating. The food was unbelievably delicious and would have eaten there twodays in a row if we did not have other plans. The pesto-based pasta was hands down the best pasta I’ve ever had and beat someof the pastas i had in North Boston throughout the week. The chefs and hosts even went out of their way to provide an amazinglist of food recommendations in Boston for us to visit. I will go out of my way to come here next time I visit the Boston area! Settler is easily the best restaurant in Salem, if not Boston. I hate writing this review because I don’t want my weekly... reservations to become harder to get, but the team at Settler deserves each of these stars, and some. Quickly flipping throughmy camera roll to share a few shots of what you can look forward to here. No reason to write a pro/con list as this restaurantgenuinely has zero cons Read more

I had found Settler on Yelp and I really wanted to eat here during our one day in Salem. After walking all day, Settler was out... last stop on our day in the Witch City. I never anticipated to have my best culinary experience in Salem, but here I am tellingthe tale. Settler has a 3 course meal style of serving. We received the chef picked appetizers. I don’t have the exact names, but it was a ricotta style dip, a pumpkin hummus, and another dish that was like a falafel. It was all phenomenal. We alsodecided to get a cocktail called a Yusuf Highball. It was refreshing, light and exactly what we needed after a long day of ghoststories, witch trial history and people watching. Once we had our order taken, we had settled on a few different dishes. As astarter, I chose the shrimp and it was so insanely good. I could have easily kept eating that. My husband ordered the pate andhe cleared his plate. I had the Spaghetti with clams. I really should have taken a picture of the menu to have the real dishnames. This was the best pasta I have ever had. It was a white sauce base. It was fresh, decadent and yet light at the sametime. My husband had the beef two ways. Both him and our friend raved about it. I had a piece and it was melt in your mouthdelicious. My friend’s husband has the chicken and they both said it was delicious. Although we felt stuffed to the brim, wehad to have dessert. We all shared the cheesecake and the chocolate tart. Both rich yet light. Aside from the incredible food, the people there were amazingly kind. We were able to be feet away watching the chef work with his team. This was something thattruly stuck with me. We even wanted to know where they had gotten their cocktails stirrers from, and the chef showed us thelink. This place was a true culinary experience. It was delicious, beautifully kept, and had wonderful people. The bartenderalso gave us wonderful recommendations for Maine. I do plan to come back to the Witch City and Settler i Read more
