Delicious dinner. My spouse and I arrived on a very busy (prom season) Saturday night. We were pleasantly surprised that we... weren't turned away for lack of reservations. We found the flatbread appetizer a delightful starter, and we both enjoyed theambience as we anticipated our meals. I ordered the steak, my spouse the chicken, and we shared a salad. We were both satisfiedwith our choices and the service was friendly, but not intrusive. We will definitely return! Read more

From beginning to end this place is fantastic. We started with the lobster escargot as an appetizer. This dish is small pieces... of lobster in a wonderful butter/lemon sauce. We tried three different main dishes(duck, beef tenderloin stroganoff and theSeafood Papperdelle. All three entrees were outstanding. The entire experience was enhanced by the friendliness of our waiter. Ican't remember his name, but he recently returned from Hawaii. He was very personable and was very engaging! Great food andfriendly service aren't very common in today's world. Keep up the great work! Read more

Absolutely perfect. My boyfriend and I often feel not taken seriously at nicer restaurants due to our age, but our server was... absolutely fantastic. Jaxsen P is amazing at his job with a busy Friday night. We had a 7:30 reservation and even got sat 10minutes early. I got the New York steak while my boyfriend got the citrus spiced king salmon. The bread and calamari withmarinara were perfect appetizers to pair as well. Whatever of our food wasn’t finished was boxed accordingly. My boyfriend andI will definitely be back to explore more of the menu :) Read more

We showed up w/o reservations and feeling a bit sheepish from being underdressed. However, the hostess was lovely and invited us... in and we were seated right away. The waiter was terrific - suggested a great Grenache by the glass vs. the one on the wine listand it was very good. We had two cocktails, dinner, wine and dessert. All was very good and we look forward to returning andbeing better dressed! :) Read more

Very nice and elegant restaurant with a Baby grand by the entrance. The place was not super busy but it was lively. The host... station was unattended for at least 6 minutes and no one greeted us. The wine menu was one sheet of paper and was not veryexciting. Now, everything went very well after we were greeted by our server, Linda. She knows wines and was veryknowledgeable on the food. The food was excellent and very good quality ingredients. Prices were very reasonable comparing toother similar class of restaurants around the US. We were totally surprised to have such a wonderful dinner in Salem, OR. Read more

It's shocking to me and disappointing to learn that this restaurant essentially is refusing to serve my wife. For this reason,... she cannot go to the restaurant to sit there and eat dinner. Isabel is the stroke survivor. We have not eaten at a restaurantthat I can remember since her stroke. If she wants something from a restaurant I call up ask for them to prepare the food and Igo and pick it up. So this is New Territory for me. We've lived in Salem Oregon for just about 3 months and in the 15 yearssince my wife's stroke in 2007 I have not come across the situation in which a restaurant is either unable or unwilling toprovide carry out food for someone if they aren't able to come and dine in. One might think that when Rob the restaurant managertold me and no uncertain terms that the owner will not budge on this issue, and that the restaurant is just not willing to budgeon this issue. Even though I told them my wife's disabled and I'm asking for a reasonable accommodation, that they allow me tocome and purchase the food and take it home. Frankly, it smacks of discrimination. This was my second call to the restaurantbecause I don't like to press the issue if there's some problem with accessibility regarding my wife's disability. Certainly arestaurant owner can run his restaurant the way he likes and I bet it is wonderful to eat there. However a restaurant owner isnot allowed to bend the Americans with disabilities act. I cannot imagine that this restaurant gets very many requests forreasonable accommodations under the Americans with disabilities act. As a soul caregiver for a severely disabled strokesurvivor, I find this policy severely short-sighted--. To say the least. One might argue that there are plenty of restaurantsand I should just take my business elsewhere. This is the second Italian restaurant here in Salem Oregon that has refused to letme pick the dinner up to bring home to my disabled wife. Read more
