I once found Shari's staff and service to be prompt and attentive. The last three times at different locations the service was... slow. We were unable to get coffee refills. I had to track down our server after waiting 20 minutes for the check. Then I had towait until after the employees were done conversing to pay. The food took twice as long as previous visits to arrive. Notplanning on going back. I understand the service at a nearby Denny's is still good. Read more
They were out of popular foods like chicken fried steak & hamburgers!! My husband asked for his eggs to be over easy & they were... hard & he asked for sausage gravy & he was given gravy with no sausage. I asked for a piece of coconut cream pie & it was frozenso I had to bring it home & wait for it to thaw out. But it was the only thing of our breakfast/lunch that tasted good. Read more
Lancaster location visit in the evening was short staffed, but delivered up friendly service and a hot, juicy burger. Easy,... casual, the wait for our food wasn't as long as estimated. This was good because many to-go orders were being made at the sametime as our order.???? Read more
I've been there twice - the pie is very good, and the BLT was good as well. The issue is wait times. The first time I went, we... were served refreshments promptly, but the food (we both just ordered BLTs) took maybe 25 minutes, several of which were spentwith the food sitting in the window. This last time I went, we sat for 15 minutes after arriving and no one ever came by to eventake our drink orders, so we left and went somewhere else. Both times it's been slow, with only a couple other groups, and thestaff spent significantly more time chatting than actually checking on tables. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, andI really wanted to like this place since it's conveniently located and has good pie, but I'm not willing to wait for ages in amostly empty restaurant for a cup of water, or to have to flag down staff and specifically request that they go pick up the foodthat's been sitting in the window for 10 minutes. So the building is indicative of their chain, however some of the upholstery and other details are in need of replacement or... repair. They did open promptly on time, however did not seem all systems go out the gate. The waitress was very nice, andremained attentive throughout my experience. The coffee was a safe, medium roast, not too strong, not quite weak, overallenjoyable cup and consistent taste upon refills. My review includes the T-bone steak and eggs with hash browns, the Springomelette with extra avocado and added bacon. I also thoroughly enjoyed a French toast that was well balanced between egg andbread texture. the latter which enjoyed the advantage of cinnamon, powdered sugar, and the perfect amount of crisp on the edges.A standard breakfast syrup, on the side, I found to be convenient to dip, rather than pore over. Everything was as ordered, butI’d stick to the mainstream breakfast items at that time of day, as the steak may have benefited from a dinner chef. Overallit was enjoyable enough and, given the surrounding area, is on par with what one might expect. If you’re just in off 22 it’sconvenient. If you’re I-5, you might consider other options. They have good service and friendly. The food was awesome and delicious. We got customer service here. Not all Shari's know what... customer service is. We had a great meal here My wife had a omelet and French toast ???? and it was delicious ???? ???? I hadthe Meat ???? Lovers Skillet ???? and it was delicious and awesome ???? It was the best food we have had at any Shari'srestaurant around. Salem Shari's is the better than Lebanon or Corvallis on the food and service The food was delicious andawesome ???? Service lacked for not being busy. I ordered CFS and was told they were out. Would have been better to know that before... ordering. I ordered a steak- medium that bled onto the cold mashed potatoes and their home made biscuits tasted as if they wereoverheated then sat till cold and we're rubbery. Read more
HORRIBLE SERVICE! We were in last Nov and waited over 30 minutes with no waitress in sight. Finally lassoed one who said the... manager told them not to take orders because they had no kitchen workers! Went back today: no wifi - waitress said corporatelocked everyone out of it; no chicken fried steak, no waffles, no hot chocolate, no tomatoes; waited 20 minutes to order, thennearly 45 minutes to get cold food while wait staff chit chatted and held down the counter tops from floating away; driveway wasankle deep in leaves and trash laying on the sidewalk right outside the door.
