I really enjoy the food. Simple good and great service. 11/29/2022 Update: No longer Sushi Kyo. But I stopped in for a lunch... with a friend because I saw the Facebook ad for hotpot. Something Salem doesn't have so I was excited to try something. Sukiyakiwas the actual name of the dish. ?Lunch $15.99 ?Dinner 19.99 And I think it was worth it for the cost and experience. The dishdoes take a little bit for them to make it. But that wasn't a issue because you can just munch on some plates before it comes. We got some cucumber salad, cucumber rolls, and a seared peppered fish that was a flavor bomb. They bring out the dish with alit flame. It boils in front of you. They do have hot oil and out sauces for dipping. It had a perfect meat, noodle, veggie, broth ratio. I loved the broth. Absolutely yummy. The veggies were pretty standard: mushrooms (3 types), carrots, green onion, leek, and cabbage. Rice noodles were at the bottom getting all the yummy flavor. They had sliced beef and a couple fish cakesfor the protein. I loved watching the meat cook in the soup. It was fun! I wasn't able to finish my bowl. But I tried! Staffwere super friendly very polite. They let me know that they will be adding more items to the menu like yakisoba and other hotfood items to order. Very excited to see what they add to the menu. I used to go here a lot before Covid when it was called Sushi Kyo. Now I?ve come here twice since it?s changed owners; the first... time I wasn?t that impressed (not much variety, not much flavor) but I think they had only recently reopened. Today I went backfor lunch (several months later) and now I think they?re now 95% as good as the old place. They selection of stuff on theconveyor is like the old days but with even more dessert options, and as before you can also custom order items; I got myfavorite a spicy scallop hand roll and it was pretty much how I remember, except that the seaweed wrapper was tough, makingeating the thing kind of messy. Even though the prices have gone up (like everywhere else) I?ll be returning soon. Read more

Before COVID, this was my favorite Sushi Bar but now it's not anymore. They raised their prices and the dishes just don't taste... the same. And NO, I have never ahd COVID. The variety is less too. It's a shame because it was special picking out which dish tohave. Read more

3 different color plates equal different prices. We sat at the bar this trip. The food is put on a conveyorbelt on three... different plates with clear coverings, Everything I ate was delicious! There's plenty of sushi! Plenty of parking. Veryaffordable. Plenty of seating. Friendly staff. Read more

Like the little conveyor belt, reminds me of a place back in Illinois that serves American food. I think it's called The Choo... Choo. But I loved the Vegas roll & the Pot stickers, didn't like the macaroons, also they were horribly busy but all in goodfood. Read more

I'm not from the area, but I believe this place was previously called Sushi Kyo and is now under new ownership. Regardless of... the name, the restaurant was fantastic! We stopped in at 3pm on a Sunday and were able to sit immediately. Unsurprisingly, itwasn't busy at all. But there was still plenty of sushi on the conveyor belt and a great variety. The sushi, nigiri, and otherfun appetizers on the belt were all surprisingly fresh and tasty. The service was stellar! Even though there were only a fewpeople in the restaurant, they still had two people pumping out fresh sushi and another two making sure everyone had everythingthey needed. Overall, it was an excellent experience for a random Sunday stop. I will definitely go back the next time I'm intown. Read more
