My mama n brother n I usually eat here once or twice a month. It was my birthday Sunday Nov 20, we arrived about 430. All my... brother talked about was wanting an Onion. When our waiter came who was very nice, we sat in the back at a table, ordered ourdrinks, he said we have none or something to that effect. Then why was it still on the menu ? So he ordered cheese fries. Bigmistake. For 1 it took 15 min to get them. They came seconds b4 our meal. We could tell they were old n reheated. Fries werevery hard, cheese was hard, needless to say hardly any were eaten. I got the Chicken Skillet, it was good, but so salty, I knewI would swell up, fingers, feet. So shld I have said No Seasonings ? Kudos for the yeast rolls ! Lots better than the others.Mama n my brother both got Chicken Fried Chicken n they loved it. First time eating at Jersey Lily?s. I really liked the server Jim, he was super sweet and very attentive. Good food, and prices... were decent. I loved the decor, very pretty! My only complain is the women?s bathroom could use some air fresheners. Read more
Gave them higher score previously, but lowered it because the food quality was not even close to consistent! Ordered same meal... one week apart, second time tasted like we were eating leftovers from the week before! Manager was very accommodating, offeringus another meal or taking it off the tab. Jersey Lily's Roadhouse restaurant was pretty much run down,this place needs renovation with the decor and old carpet, table... chairs,the line cook needs to improve on food ,ordered rub eye steak medium and received well done rubbery steak ,wasn'tgrilled, looked more like boiled steak,mash potatoes was tough,can beans was nasty, fresh vegetables would be a plus, Mac cheesetaste like box preservative food, pot roast lacked flavor and no fresh vegetables. Ribs was adequate in flavor and tenderness.This place has potential if the owner put in the work ,we were extremely disappointed traveling such a long way and receivedhorrible meal. Went for the first time. It was recommended to go by hotel I was staying. When I arrived I went to sit at the bar There were... only maybe 5 people sitting up there. The other 8 or so seats all had dirty plates sitting at them. The bartender cleared oneseat for me to sit down and left the rest of the dishes. I ordered a cup of soup and a salmon Cesar salad. Got my soup and itwas totally separated from to much heat. Picture attached. I got my salad it was the size of a side salad with a piece ofsalmon. I did not eat the soup and server never even asked how anything was. Sorry to say very disappointed. Read more
After seeing an advertisement for this restaurant every 25 seconds on WDBJ7, and chain restaurants surrounding having over an... hour and a half wait for each restaurant, this place comes to mind well out of our traveling way, and to best put it, it was nomistake. A very short wait and friendly enough staffing found our way to a table. When I picked up a rib from the half rack Iordered, I knew at that point that this would no longer be a one-time only dining experience as the meat fell straight off thebone with me just holding it. Very good taste, very good texture, all around excellent feature by this establishment. My onlyword of advice would be to add quite a bit more sauce to the ribs themselves. I ordered the Friday fish fry. The fish was heavily breaded and was very oily. One piece was difficult to cut through because... of the quality of the fish. The broccoli was pale green. The margarita was very sour, like a liquid sour patch kid and verylittle alcohol. Possibly raise the price of the drink and add a bit more alcohol? The waitress was very helpful but the foodwas not what we expected based on other reviews. Read more
