Plan to stop there every time I pass through Salinas. A few blocks on main Street N/O highway 68. Large menu. Prices are... reasonable. They have been there for over 40 years. Read more

If I could give no stars I would. I?ve been loyal customer to this business for many many years, and tonight I received the... worst possible customer service. I don?t normally take the time to write reviews but I am so displeased with the level ofprofessionalism that I had to say something. Today, I had ordered food to go and when I got home, I opened the food to find agiant black hair inside. I called to get a refund as I paid with my credit card, and they said refused to give me my moneyunless I brought my food back today. Normally, I wouldn?t mind doing this but I live pretty far from the restaurant and it waslate. I asked if I could bring the food back tomorrow and receive my refund then and they again stated if I didn?t bring it backtoday I wasn?t getting my money back, no exceptions. I tried to explain that I live far from the restaurant and I couldn?t goback tonight but could go back tomorrow, which again they refused. Besides being annoyed with the unwilling to accommodate me oreven their customers in general, what really made me upset was the entire time I could hear the women on the phone yelling backto her supervisor, about the situation, and the supervisor refusing to even talk to me and just yelling that no, she was notgoing to give me money back, along with other fowl language, as well as the attitude I was receiving. When I asked to speak theowner, they hung up the phone because they thought it be better than dealing with me. Overall, I?m very displeased with how theyacted and treated me. Usually, I can get past the rudeness of the girl who is the cashier, but the unwilling to be even semiunderstanding towards a mistake they made by not being hygienic is something I refuse to excuse. Been coming here since I was a kid. My wife as well shares many memories when she was a kid and her dad would always stop by to... get her a burrito when he was passing through town. Food is great, staff always smile and are very nice. Very big parking lotwith plenty of space if you drive a fancy sedan land yacht such as myself. Read more

Ordered wet super burrito. The size is so small that I wouldn?t even call it a regular burrito. Everything is over cooked. Salsa... is so so. I cannot believe people leave 5 star reviews to this place. I believe it is pretty overpriced too for Salinas city inmy opinion. Read more

First time here. The portions are good and service is fast despite the fact there was a line. The question of authenticity went... out the window for me as their salsa is fantastically flavorful. New favorite spot for sure. I want to try everything on themenu. I recommend the crispy shredded beef tacos. Read more

So nostalgic being here!! The last time I ate at a TICO'S TACOS was before the SJ location burned down! Being here was like... stepping through a time portal! The beef taquitos and green sauce were just as I remembered! Delicious and made fresh! Greatfriendly staff. Fast service. Fresh salsa bar. Seating wasn't "plus-sized" friendly but they had an extra chairs along the backwall that I was able to use to sit outside the booth. Bathroom was clean but didn't have a baby changing station. Otherwise, itwas q perfect and memorable experience! Read more

I stumbled upon this by accident, this is my first time at Tico's. While I was reading the menu, I heard she ladies talk about... how good their Chile relleno was, so I went for that and the asada enchilada, that with a small drink I paid about $15-16. Thefood was much better than expected. The relleno was so cheesy and perfectly sauced. The meat in the enchilada was tender. Theyalso have an incredible salsa bar with I want to say 8 options, if which I tried 4. Read more

So not the same as I remember from San Jose years ago. I came once before Covid... once during covid and today, March 21,... 2020. Once again the lady cashiers were rude and they rushed me to order eventhough no one was in line. The food food was justok... the chile verde plate and the chile verde burrito was filled with so much fat on every piece of pork meat! Yuck! Taquitoplate was ok with lots of watered down avocado sauce. The expensive quesadilla that I could have made at home for my baby wasok, but my 15 month old baby didn't even like it! The Nachos were the only thing that was worth the $10 price tag, only becauseI did like the chicken meat. I also did not like the ladies to get mad and grab my cup for a water refill and an iced tearefill. Wow, those ladies need customer service skills or they should not be working in the front counter. There was nogreeting... no "niceness" at all and I have NOTHING GOOD to say about them. Needless to say, probably will not be back for awhile if at all. Read more
