In all fairness, we went to a brewery but didn't try any of the brews. We went for dinner as we've heard great things. Our... servers were fantastic and friendly. My husband enjoyed sauerbraten, which was presented well and tasted even better. I orderedmac and cheese, topped with smoked chicken. While the taste was ok, it was not heated through and included some cool temperaturenoodles. It was not creamy at all, until digging into the center under the hot chicken. At best, it was a luke warm meal. It wasstill worth taking home to reheat, just a bit unexpected at the price point. We sat on the main level where seating was wellorganized. It was loud, making conversation difficult. It seemed we were there much longer than we were. Overall it was anOK/neutral dining experience for us. If you were adding drinks, trying a beer, or even there to appreciate the environment, it'slikely a place for you. Read more

Great restaurant with very flavorful and tasteful food. Decor is super unique, as it’s (likely) an old church. Design and... cleanliness are also superb. Our waitress was beyond sweet. My only thing was the wait; we were told 1.5 hours for inside andabout 30 mins for outside. However, after agreeing for an outdoor table, we saw people just walking in and getting seatedinside, despite us waiting for 45 mins outdoors. Lack of communication via the OpenTable website was drastic - it said we were2nd I line for almost an hour while we waited. No text from the restaurant to indicate any openings. Note, this was duringUMICH parents weekend on Friday night, so it was extra busy. But string communication is especially required during these times. This did not ruin our experience, as the staff was more than accommodating and friendly. Would recommend eating here. Uniquedishes and yummy deserts! Read more

Flavorful food and good beer is a perfect recipe for a dinner date. You get exactly that from this place. I recommend the Blood... Orange Hefeweizen for a fruity beer paired with the 10oz sirloin steak. For all the high-ABV beer fans, they have bold beersaged in bourbon barrels, a must try. Read more

We stopped here for a late lunch on our way to Ann Arbor. Service was phenomenal-super friendly and helpful. Beer was... excellent-highly recommend the Hefeweizen. Also, kid-friendly, which is always a plus. Our 4 year old raved about the ham andcheese sandwich. Read more

My family and I recently visited our friends and old neighbors at their new home in Saline, Michigan. For lunch, we stopped in... at the Salt Spring Brewery in downtown Saline, housed in a former historic church building. To start our experience, I had aglass of their Cashmere Zeppelin IPA, brewed with 100% Michigan cashmere hops, giving a citrus fruit flavor, and overall a solidbrew. The Ryepalicous IPA was also tasty. For lunch, I ordered the southern-style pork sandwich with house-smoked porkshoulder, sharp cheddar, bread & butter pickles, stout BBQ sauce, and coleslaw on a challah bun ($13.50 with fries on the side).Overall this was pretty good, though I wish that the pork had more smoke flavor. The pickles were fantastic and their BBQ saucewas solid. My wife had the Michigan chicken sandwich with a smoked chicken breast, crispy bacon, sweet pepper chutney, arugula, and chevre on a potato bun ($13.59 with fries). Overall I liked this sandwich better than the pork sandwich. The chicken waswell seasoned and the chutney and creamy chevre complimented it well. Salt Springs Brewery is well worth a visit with theentire family. Our kids enjoyed large servings from the kids' menu included mac-n-cheese, cheese pizza, and cheeseburger ($7each). Read more

Mixed experience. We arrived before they opened and then made an OpenTable reservation because there were 20+ people in line. ... They would not seat us and were late seating us. The hostess was struggling with queue management and was not very friendly. They were not seating the entire restaurant. I don’t believe it was because of social distancing because we were seated veryclose to the neighbor table. Would have preferred more privacy given it was just 2 of us and we were seated next to a familywith young children and a group of women. Also I had reserved general seating and we were put at a high top which to me was toohigh and I’m a tall person. We had a beer flight of: Coffee amber - the coffee taste was overpowering BigBrownBunny - thistasted great and not to heavy Cashmere Zeppelin - very tasty Impunity NEIPA - very floral bouquet and tasty Food was generousproportion. Good presentation but not warm enough and the fries were soggy. The food was tasty but salty. Service was veryattentive. The place and the bathrooms were well cleaned. The atmosphere was great!
