So much potential here. My hamburger and Mac n Cheese were served cold/lukewarm. Burger was served with wrong toppings and... server blamed it on a language barrier in the kitchen. Half the chips were inedible crumbs. Flavors were great and the chipswere delicious when they brought out new ones. Fat Jack's is a great burger joint. I very much enjoyed the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. My wife had the chili dog and it... was gigantic. They're very close to a lot of the large hotels in downtown Salt Lake. We actually walked a block in a blizzard toget a burger at this place and we were not disappointed! I think they're $10 Burger beat out the $40 to $50 restaurant menu atour hotel. Read more
We got here around 9pm and there was a bit of a wait. The host was attentive and noticed us reading a menu (we didn't see him... due to that) and asked if we wanted to be out down on the list, so that was really kind, he could have just ignored us. We wereseated after like 10 minutes. The space isn't large, but large enough to not feel cramped on a busy night. They have specialIPAs that are limited. Prices are fair, burgers range from $12 to $15 and come with bbq ranch chips, for $2 more you cansubstitute fries. I went for a basic cheeseburger with the garlic Parm fries (they were out of cheese curds). Drinks came outfirst (I ordered just a coke and water) and maybe 10 or 15 later out food. I loved the charred taste of my burger...somethingabout that grilled taste just upgraded the taste of the cheese. The fries I would have liked crisper, I love a crunchy frenchfry with that soft interior. Burgers have a sauce that comes on it, I opted for no sauce. The server was also attentive, but notoverly so. Everything went smooth until my roomie found a hair in her fries, she didn't make a big deal of it and we didn't wantto say anything with such a large crowd.
