I was walking around downtown Salt Lake City when my Parkinson?s started barking at me. It wanted some meds, coffee, something... to eat, and a break in our walking. About 10 steps later I found myself in front of Gourmandise! What a pleasant discovery. Iwas seated quickly and was able to get water and a coffee right away. They had a wonderful menu of Sunday brunch items. I justwanted something from the display case. I recovered from my Parkinson?s barking and continued my walk. The item I picked fromthe display case was a bit over the top. I forgot to take a picture until I was well into eating my chocolate on chocolate onchocolate. I did take a picture. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. Read more

It?s delicious. We ordered the Greek salad and the salmon De croute. The salmon was moist and in a French pastry. It came with... a side of delicious and decorative mashed potatoes. The green grains and Greek salad had chickpeas, feta, tomatoes, olives, cucumber and fried cheese balls. So yum! The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We didn?t get pastries but they lookdelicious and authentically French. The cheese balls and dressing have a little kick of spice. Read more

We had not had a great start to our trip... we came from Texas where we like alot of flavor and this was our last meal in Utah.... This place gave us wonderful memories and a wonderful experience. The staff was so sweet. That is hard to come by these days. Wewere more than satisfied with everything we ate. If we lived in town this would most definitely be our date spot. Thank you fora wonderful end to our trip! Read more

Gourmet indeed! Had breakfast with my wife here and it was delicious and well presented. Our excellent server brought us avocado... toast on gluten free bread, and gluten free oatmeal creme brulee, and it was fabulous. The pastries in the display case lookedso inviting, so we tried a gluten free almond horn and (no surprise) it was yummy! Another solid gluten free choice in SaltLake City. HIGHLY recommended Read more

I cannot recommend the bakery enough! Living in Utah for 5 years now, I ALWAYS come back for their fruit tarts again and again.... They are consistent and incredibly delicious! Pictured is a Mixed Fruit Tart, a Pistachio Raspberry Tart, and a Strawberry Ring. This place gets busy but worth it every time! There is an option to sit in the restaurant or outside for any meal. There areplenty of options on their menu. It?s an adorable cafe and everything you want it to be! Read more

It?s a hit and miss at this place. We have good and bad experiences. The fries that was served to us tasted reheated and soggy.... The desserts are delectable and tasted freshly baked/made. We love trying different pastries here. Read more

A little bit of France right here in Salt Lake City! I took my wife here for breakfast to celebrate our 9 year wedding... anniversary and it was perfect! The food, the atmosphere and the service was awesome! The crème brûlée oatmeal was delicious!I highly recommend giving that a try - delicious and filling. We were excited to try their intriguing twists on mimosas, but wewere there on a Monday around 10:30am and they don?t serve alcohol until 11:30am on the weekdays - so, if you want to enjoy somedrinks with your breakfast, I would suggest going on a weekend morning. Although, the restaurant was very quiet on a Mondaymorning which was very nice. Anyway, check this place out! It?s awesome! Read more
