Where is the heat? I hoped for a great experience. I ordered HOT. Got something that’s not. Tried the Kathmandu Tandoori and... the meats were dry, overcooked, and wasn’t spicy at all. Service was lackluster and without energy. I wanted a dessert but wasnever asked. I wanted a side dish but the server simply left like she had somewhere to go after I ordered my main meal, and theplace wasn’t busy. They claim to validate parking, and they did, but the parking attendant said I owed $3 because they shouldhave attached another validation. The food looked better than it tasted. The naan was flavorful. If you want a great Indiancuisine experience, find somewhere else. Read more

Came here since a friend had recommended but was quite disappointed with the vegetarian food. The veg momos were really bad in... taste without any proper fillings. The chana saag was okay. I had specifically mentioned ginger tea but there was no ginger.Being an Indian I was expecting a bit of friendly behavior but that was not the case. Read more

Food was amazing and easy on the wallet. I have been in Salt Lake for two weeks visiting from San Diego. Wish I would have ate... here sooner. Love that they are open late. Love that they like questions regarding the menu. I told them what I wanted and askedquestions and they made a fantastic recommendation. I like heat in the curry and I ordered "hot" it was perfect. Kind staff thatlet me get comfortable as a lone business traveler. Thank you! See you in four weeks when I am back in the SLC. Read more

We stopped here at the end of our Yellowstone vacation, flying out of SLC. This place is conveniently close to the airport and... the food was comforting and delicious! We had the Vegetable Soup, Vegetable Momos and the Traditional Nepali Dal Bhat! Specialmention to the unique Quanty curry, we loved the fact that we could customize the thali to our liking and got a nice spread ofNepali food! Highly recommend this place ?? Read more

Gluten free! Fantastic food great flavor and just the right amount of heat. I do wish in the future the take the shrimp shell of... the tail ???? but the still Fantastic. Love the fact their menu is almost mostly gluten friendly. So for my fellow humans withceliac disease, not a bad location. Still watch out for cross contamination. Also good vegetarian selection. With much expectations, we came here to have some Indian Nepali food. Ordered much, as we were starving but it was not at all... worth it. The chicken was not fresh and the lamb was undercooked and stale. It was very chewy. Left most of the food. Ambiencewas ok and they have parking behind their restaurant for which they can validate the ticket. Read more

The Himalayan Kitchen is a quaint, cozy little establishment in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. The atmosphere is warm and... welcoming from the moment you step through the door until you leave. Entering the restaurant is like talking a step through timeto take a tantalizing taste of the history and culture that is served up with every delicious bite. The food is an adventureunto itself, with savory spices and traditional Tandoori ovens bringing you a wealth of flavor akin to pulling a page out ofancient tradition and folklore. Each meal is prepared with love, as though they were feeding their own family, and thescintillating aromas filling the air are nothing short of a work of art. It brings comfort and convenience right to your table, served by the most polite wait staff in all the city. Each dish has it's own unique magic to it, soothing and adventurous witheach amazing spoonful. Come hungry, as they feed family style, meaning they bring you your individual order, but a healthyportion of rice and naan bread are placed in the center of the table to be shared with all the friends and family accompanyingyou on your quest for the unique. If I could give this place more stars, I would eagerly do so! Read more
