Beautiful setting in Millcreek Canyon surrounded by the green trees and waterfalls. The food was good as well! The Alpine Nachos... are one of the best nachos I’ve ever eaten. The portions are generous. I personally think you’re really paying for the viewsand ambiance more than the food. It was pricey but the service was amazing and we will definitely make a trip back for viewsalone! Read more

Date night. I would hate to give it 4 stars. It was 4 1/2. The only thing that wasn’t stellar was the Risotto. The depth... of flavor was slightly lacking. It could of used an extra note or 2 of spice/flavor. What made be take a 1/2 point though wasthe Risotto was salty for my palate and I love salt. The Alpine Nacho appetizer was the highlight for me and a must have. Ilive in Texas so I’m disappointed they’re not in my area. I would go back and just have that! My husband had the GrilledPork Chop. It was amazing and had a beautiful array of wonderful flavors and textures. I had their non-alcoholic drink PinkPassion…ah-mazing! The hubby had the red wine that was made especially for Log Haven and he really enjoyed it. Our servicefrom Cynthia was impeccable. The other staff seemed equally pleasant. The pianist was a nice touch. It was a great experienceand would seem incredibly petty to take away from their ratings. I hate I didn’t notice the waterfall across the street untilwe were leaving. My pictures don’t do it justice as it was dusk when we left. Also, valet parking and entrance to theNational Reserve that the restaurant is on is complimentary. Thanks Log Haven for a great date night dining experience. Read more

Very nice setting and food but be ready for a bill. Though I have to say worth it. The food was outstanding as were the drinks.... Service was excellent and they have dog days on Tuesdays and Thursdays where you can sit outside with your pup. Reservations arelikely needed. Read more

Log Haven was a good place to have a nice meal while in Salt Lake City. It’s tough to find vegetarian options at finer dining... establishments, which is why we chose Log Haven. The service was awesome. So were the views. It’s nestled up in a canyonarea. There was easy valet parking. The gochujang cauliflower was a great appetizer, perfectly cooked and great flavor. Themixed green salad was really yummy but over dressed. The pork was a bit over cooked and dry, could have done without thetortilla strips on the plate. The gnocchi/dumpling in the roasted hen of the wood dish was burnt and the dish needed to be wipedbefore served, great mushroom. You can tell the ingredients this place uses is top notch. We had a rhubarb crumble that wasokay, the plating was very basic and texture was a bit off, flavor was good. I wished the few things mentioned were done rightand this place would have been closer to 5 stars. All in all we enjoyed our night out, but likely will not go back if we are inthe area again. One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Valet parking, so bring a few dollars for a tip. We were there after... sunset but the grounds looked gorgeous with a waterfall across the street. We were tentative about eating here since it seemedmuch nicer than most restaurants in the west. We found the experience quite comfortable. Though some diners were dressed up,others came in comfortable wear. We were seated quickly (reservations required). Our waiter was excellent. Service was quick butwell-paced. Everything we ate was amazing. The alpine nachos were incredible. I uncharacteristically ordered a vegetarian dishand it was divine. Of course, a large bill was unsurprising. For the normal American, this should be reserved for specialoccasions. That being said, do yourself a favor and try it out! Read more

Best restaurant experience I have had in a long time! Every member of the staff was kind and knowledgeable and provided... excellent recommendations when helping us choose our meals. This restaurant has a very high class atmosphere in a beautifulsetting. The flavors of every dish were refined and unique. The bison steak was so flavorful and like something I have neverhad before. The alpine nachos were amazing and every dessert was well crafted and not just overly sweet. So glad I was able tocome to this restaurant. Truly the definition of fine dining! Plan ahead because reservations fill up quickly! Read more

I would have given this place five stars, but the bench I was sitting on was super-uncomfortable. It was fine dining seated on a... picnic bench. Given the bench lines much of the perimeter of the restaurant against the windows with coveted views, your chancesof getting seated on it are pretty high. Beyond that, the atmosphere, pricing, and service were very high class. Everyone seatedaround us was celebrating an anniversary. It's doubtful many normal people go here on date night. The food is delicious.Compliments to the chef! The Korean cauliflower appetizer was wonderful. I had the salmon and my date had the halibut. I wasvery pleased, but she could have lived without the Asian fish sauce flavor. If you want fine dining and service at its best, LogHaven will deliver. If money is at all a concern, save up a couple hundred bucks and splurge. Read more
