This is one of our go-to diner pre-pandemic and first time again since then. I feel like this place has been there forever and I... just realized how much I missed the good vibes of this diner. The staff are always in a good mood and very attentive. I thinkthe food are pretty similar or a little bit better compared to other diners but I guess it's the way they treat their gueststhat makes it more special. It could get crowded at times but the wait is ok and well worth it. Read more

This place was recommended by my colleague and we decided to give it a try. The food is just as usual as every place i have been... for breakfast after work its good though, but there is a downside of the place as you enter its foggy and you can smell all ofthe things that they are cooking. Rare throwback diner - if you're a fan of these types of places, you must go! I was going to take a photo of my Ancient Grains... Pancakes, but forgot until my son was devouring the last bites. All the times I've... come here has been amazing service and food, the owners and employees are always so friendly and care a lot for their customers.Definitely highly recommend this restaurant. Over the Counter Cafe has been a staple on Salt Lake's East Bench for as long as I can remember! A Hole in the Wall, No Fuss... Diner serving up Breakfast Favorites, Hot and Fast! ?? We ordered The Western Beni and the #2 with Sausage, Scrambled eggs andSourdough. ?? The Western Beni was such a delicious twist on a Classic Benedict! Not a bad breakfast place for comfort food! Loved their potatoes and the way it was made. We got there just before the morning... rush and were able to get seated right away. It's a small restaurant but it feels "homey" our waiter brought our food and checkat the same time and we never saw her again so I'm not sure if that's a normal practice or if she was having a bad day?
