We finally tried Pago on Main recently after going to the original Pago on 9th for years. The space is nice. We made a... reservation and got in quickly on a Friday night at 6 pm. The server was attentive and all the dishes were tasty and original. We tried the spare rib entree, watermelon salad, croquettes, and meatballs. My boyfriend and I had dinner here for our anniversary and it was so perfect! Chris helped us decide which options to go with,... my boyfriend had the short rib and I had the lasagna (which had really unique and delicious flavors). Both were excellent!We’ve also had their burger before and we love that as well. Chris gave us excellent service! Food was very good! Service was very below average. I’m giving this 3/5 stars simply because I wasn’t happy with the... experience and the service, however the food itself was delicious and very nicely presented. Our server was not rude but notoverly chatty or friendly. He didn’t even tell us his name or say much other than what he needed to take our orders. This initself is fine, but before we had made a decision on food choices, he offered to bring over some bread. Naturally when a serveroffers bread at a restaurant it is implied that said bread is complimentary. This however was an $8 charge for a chunk ofmediocre sourdough at the end of the meal. We noticed he was pulling the same “can I offer you some bread” line to everyother table he waited on, and personally I found that a little deceptive. The cook in the kitchen behind the glass (visible topatrons) could be seen sweeping and cleaning the kitchen (which is great) but then touching food on the plates wearing the sameset of gloves he had on when using the broom). I found that a bit unsettling. For the food, we had the short ribs, crudo, andrisotto. The risotto was excellent I would rate that a 9.5/10 for flavour combinations and it was cooked to perfection with justthe right amount of bite to it. The short ribs were very tasty, the yellowjack crudo was good, though when asked, the serversaid it was tuna, and when it arrived clearly it’s not tuna. The server should be able to tell the customer what type of fishit is. The $8 sourdough was not worth $8. If the service was even just “okay” I would say the food alone could warrant 4stars but unfortunately that was not our experience this evening. Read more
This place is beautiful inside! Dark, modern, and with hints of glam! Staff was VERY friendly, no uppity vibes here. Everyone... was on it, there wasn't waiting around for our server to come to order more drinks ever. It wasn't busy at all which wasshocking for downtown. I blame the construction ???? next door BUT we were so glad there wasn't a wait! Booked it on open tableand got a reservation for 15 min away. So easy! The food... Our server had great recommendations. The menu was a 1 page menu,definitely small but with lots of small plates that were AMAZING and reasonably priced! The main dinner courses were of coursemore expensive but a bit limited in options (for a vegetarian only 1 option). The meat dishes sounded delicious though! Everyonewas really happy with their meals. We got both desserts and they were delish too! Lots of fun drinks too and a few wines that Ibelieve were local or something special about them I can't remember. The cheese plate and Sourdough were AMAZING, crab cakeswere small but not too fishy! I really enjoyed the ambiance, service, and food. Our waitress was really fun and friendly. It was cool to watch the kitchen in... the center of the room. Brunch was tasty. Coffee was hot and delish. I'd love to go back for lunch and dinner and try more ofthe menu. Read more
Had a lovely dinner on a Saturday. Silver was our server and was simply amazing. They were entertaining and did a great job with... our larger group. Would love to have them serve us again. The food was delicious. Sadly they were out of a wine, main/app and adessert requested by the table. Know that happens but it wasn't our luck to have so many things no available. Atmosphere islovely, larger space but wasn't overly noisy. Clean bathroom and plenty of space between tables. Read more
