This place looks great. It?s clean, hip, and pretty cool. The dishes looked fresh, clean, and delicious. I?m not sure what... happened, but all three of the dishes I tried were not good. The jackfruit slider, brussel sprouts, and garbanzo bean disheswere either severely burnt, unflavored, or strangely flavored. I couldn?t finish the garbanzo dish. Read more

I am a fan of everything at POP. Service was great. The atmosphere is extremely laid back and relaxed but feels elegant. It?s so... nice for a low key dinner or a little bit of a high end drinking night. Their food is delightful. The tuna ceviche, scotch egg,and sliders were the highlights. But that?s not to say anything was bad those just really stood out. The spirit collection isamazing. All around just a super nice experience. Read more

We ate and drank here while waiting for our table at Takashi and everything was to die for!

Came here while waiting for dinner at Takashi. Ambiance is a huge factor when it comes to visiting places, and this place was... fantastic. Had an opportunity to get the brussel sprouts as well, FANTASTIC. While some places don't always have crispy brusselsprouts, this place definitely did not disappoint. Also shown here is the tuna tartare ($4/chip) which had a nice Indian flavorkick in there. Read more

Nice spot for good drinks and bites. It?s more of a bar so the portions are smaller, but that just means you can try a lot. Some... highlights were the pickled egg (really tasty and had some nice heat from the yuzu), hamachi ceviche, and the Katsu / jackfruit(great vegetarian option) sliders. Read more

5 stars for drinks and for the ability to order Takashi's sushi. 1 star for food, so I think meeting in the middle at 3 stars is... fair. Drinks were great and my friends really enjoy this place for their drinks, particularly whiskey, and they usually ordersushi. We joined them and decided to try some of their food. I think it's overpriced and the flavors were completely off. We hada king crab slider and my husband liked it, but I thought it was too fishy, and that's fine and is just my preference. Then, Iordered 2 other sliders and the "Sweet Rolls" plate. I did NOOOOOT know that the sweet rolls were anything but sweet and werenot a roll at all. It's meat on top of....something strange. Our friends legit commented that it looked like dog poo. And upontasting it, it was not enjoyable. The "sweet roll" is a deep fried piece of meat. Fatty meat. And when eaten together with thestuff on the bottom...no bueno. The sliders I got were the brisket and chicken katsu. SO CONFUSED. First off, both buns wereextremely soggy because of the amount of sauces on them. Both had mayo, I believe, and either one or both had bbq sauce. It wasutterly confusing to have bbq sauce on the katsu....I've never heard of that before, and it didn't taste good. The brisket waschewy and hard to eat. I ended up just scraping off the sauces and eating the meats. $6 a "slider" and the king crab slider was$15 but MUCH better than these other ones, and came with some tasty sauces and chips on the side. Old fashioned's were reallygreat. Got the chocolate tarte for dessert. Nothing special, but apparently it's flourless so considering that, it was prettygood. Read more

Service - 1 star Food quality - 5 star Food Accuracy per order - 1 star Ambiance / environment - 5 stars Came in impromptu for... date night. Waitress gave me a roll with eel sauce on it and wasn?t until I repeatedly asked agreed that it had gluten in thesauce. The nigiri was good but I ordered sashimi. Loved the deviled egg, green tea and edamame. We will try it again. May havejust been a tough time night for the wait staff? Food quality as always was amazing. Ambiance is awesome. Love this buildout. Read more

Sorry, the place is a bit disappointing. None of the small appetizers are amazingly tasty, and come in such small portion that... after ordering 4 small/median dishes, I barely feel like I?m having a dinner. The thing I want to complain about, however, isthe lighting. The lighting tuned off in the middle of the dinner, significantly dampening the dining experience. We can barelysee what we are eating. And we were prepared to pay overpriced money for hopefully good food. I complained twice to the waiter, and was informed that the lighting is turned off cause it is getting later and it is a bar?! The service is not that greateither, definitely below average given the class and price tag of the resturant. The last dish we ordered is a pork large dish, which is much better, coming 4 times the size, and only $2 extra. That dish kind of saved our dinner, but still... Read more
