Fantastic experience. Went Thursday night (6/29) at 7:00 and were seated immediately in back room. Started with some of the best... calamari I've ever had. Lightly breaded/salted with a few battered shrimp and red onion snuck in to boot. Aioli dipping saucewas sublime and flavorful. I had Bombolotti al Sugo (rigatoni with braised steak bits, pork, peppers in tomato sauce), she hadlinguine and clams paired perfectly with a glass and a half of Savignon blanc. The pastas we're perfectly al dente. Sharedroasted brussel sprouts (lightly salted) and robust vanilla bean gelato for dessert. Add tax/tip for $160 (great value forMarin) and attentive yet not hovering service. Will definitely make a return trip. Well done Cucina Read more

Disappointing experience. We were sat 30 minutes late for our reservation and it would’ve been longer had I not asked them to... find a solution. Would’ve expected something to be comped or at the very least an apology. Service was super slow and the foodwas really hit or miss. Read more

It was a chilly evening and we had reservations outside. I called to move inside but could not but was assured it was sheltered... with heaters outside. "I can guarantee you will not be cold". This turned out to be wrong. We froze waiting through terribleservice. They forgot to bring the brusheta and forgot about us. We could not even catch the waitress by waving at her. Thefood did appear eventually (two dishes, then two dishes and then one dish over a ten minute period). The. Pollo Sciilliano wasgood but the rest was mediocre. Never been so be so neglected and cold in a restaurant. Truly terrible service. Do not book atable outside as it is a drafty alleyway where the wind seems to sweep down. The heaters are inadequate. I thank the owner forrecognizing the problem and volunteering tp cover the cost. Unfortunately money cannot compensate for a planned evening withtwo grandparents and three grandchildren. We have had good experiences with this restaurant in warmer weather. So let's saythis was an aberration. But please beware being outside at this restaurant in colder weather. Read more

Wonderful little spot in San Anselmo, can't believe we didn't know they were around. Courteous, prompt service with a smile and... great pasta dishes! Originally 3 of us were going to order the tortellini but one opted to get the mushroom gnocchi so we couldtry something new. Great pastas but the tortellini was hands down the star!!! Read more

The cook made a special dish for a 2-year-old child who can't eat tomato sauce well. The menu is Laviola, which is very soft... with tomatoes and cream. My child really enjoyed Laviola (unfortunately, I couldn't take a picture of the food). I was satisfiedwith both service and taste. Read more

Excellent cocktails and appetizers. Pasta entrées very good, but overly salted for our taste. They sat us 20 minutes after... our reservation, and then they put us at a shared table. It was fine, just not what we were wanting. Victor, our server, wasgreat!! Definitely will go back though. Read more
