Really enjoyed the hospitality from Ben & Miguel at the bar. Stopped in for drinks with my sister who is visiting from out of... town. We were impressed watching Ben make dozens of specialty craft drinks in under a minute, with a smile, while still offeringus incredible world-class service at the bar. It's rare to find a "real" bartender nowadays in the pre-covid restaurant world,and it was nice to see and really a great experience for us. This was our favourite meal so far during our trip to California. We tried the beet salad (photo) - it was the best salad I’ve... had during my time in the US. My only wish is that this restaurant was closer to home in London for us. We will be back and itfeels like the spot we will come to each time we visit SF on future trips. We loved Insalata's. Started with the mezza plate of falafel, quinoa, pickled red onions, creamy hummus and pita. First time... having eggplant fries dipped in a mint cilantro chutney. Great combination. Then enjoyed the mussels and fries and pappardelleduck confit. Everything was delicious. Finished off lunch with their peach cobbler and pig in the mud pudding. Delectable.
