Metal Sticking Out Of The Crust! I?ve enjoyed food from Ali?s until tonight. The pizza had METAL sticking out of the crust. I... called the restaurant. The first person said to bring it back, and they?d make another. Then they put another person, Nicole, onthe phone. Nicole said because it was ordered through DoorDash that I?d have to take it up with them. I asked for a manager. Shesaid the manager was ?off site doing other work.? At 7:56 pm? Nicole said there was one manager, BETTY, who worked bothlocations. When asked about making this right and offering to send pictures or bring the pizza in as proof we didn?t eat it, shefinally said, ?Let me call you back.? She called and gave me BETTY?S cell and asked me to text the photos. I text all thephotos. She didn?t have the professionalism to reply or call. She had Nicole call and say talk to DoorDash. So, I?ve been aloyal customer who has reviewed them positively in the past. I. Will. Never. Go. There. Again. I offered them everyopportunity to help. Giving a one star because zero isn't allowed. Ordered a pizza through Door Dash. Pizza arrived just fine. Each took out a slice... - after two bites, I noticed something sticking out of the back of the crust. I tore open the crust and pulled out a METALSHAVING. Horrified, we called Ali's and explained what happened. She said we'd have to call Door Dash to resolve it, since weordered through them. Which, if it was a delivery issue, would make sense, but DOOR DASH DIDN'T MAKE MY PIZZA. We asked if theperson telling us this was the manager - she wasn't. We asked if we could talk to the manager, Betty, but it turns out Betty wassomehow not available. Finally the woman on the phone said she'd call Betty and let her know the situation. A short time later,the employee called back and asked if we'd send some photos of the metal piece to a number she gave us. We sent photos of themetal piece, the spot where I pulled it out of my pizza, how much pizza we ate (literally two bites for both of us - the rest ofthe pizza is untouched). Another short time later, we got a call back - never from Betty, always from the employee - that, yeah,Ali's doesn't give a **** about us finding metal shavings in the pizza they made, and we'd just have to duke it out with DoorDash. Ali's is our neighborhood pizza place, but they've lost us as a customer. ZERO STARS - WOULD NOT RECOMMEND unless you lovemetal bits in your food. Read more
Pizza 8/10 Chicken wings 7/10 Solid pizza place for inoffensive New York style pizza. Probably the best NY pizza I've had in... Texas, and really good chicken wings for a pizza place. The workers were really friendly. The inside of the restaurant was kindahumid which made it feel a little gross, even though it wasn't actually dirty inside. I will definitely be back for take out. So we got the mozzarella sticks, pepperoni pizza, chicken alfredo, and lemon pepper wings. Have to say the wings where my... favorite crispy and sour. Chicken alfredo was good. Will be coming back. Read more
The restaurant looks great and has an old Italian restaurant vibe. When I walked in The Godfather theme song was literally... playing. I ordered 2 Philly Cheesesteaks and waited a little while for them. When I got to the car I could smell thedeliciousness of the sandwiches. My destination was only 5 minutes away so I wasn't worried about them getting cold. I wasexcited to dig into them but when I opened the container my excitement turned to wonder. I was wondering where did the meat go?It was buried under lettuce and cherry tomatoes. Hoagies have lettuce and tomatoes not Phillys. There was not that much meat onone of them. It did have a good taste once I removed the lettuce and tomatoes. If they made this a traditional Philly I woulddefinitely go back. Read more
Our family has been meaning to try Ali's since they took over the space from Ray's, and finally had a chance this last week. We... all ordered the same thing, the stromboli. They are large ,close to a foot long, and well packed with cheese and a variety ofmeats. The dough was not too thick and dense, and did not become soggy on the way home (we ordered pick up). I've eaten here enough times to say this place is fantastic! I don't recall getting anything from here that wasn't good... ESPECIALLY their pizza! As you can see in these pics we ordered 10 different pizzas for work and no one person had anything badto say. In fact, the doctor that hooked us up said she was gonna order some tomorrow for her family. I definitely recommend! Read more
